All,
I'll try to provide answers to the various questions. If I've overlooked anything let me know.
In addition I've uploaded some images that I think are representative of what has been requested:

I'm just not familiar enough with posting images to the cloud at this point. Life would be much simpler if I could just post them directly on the forum. In any case psychoadept asked about deleting. I can delete files directly.
Following is the latest:1. I have two libraries shown for MusicBee, as I believe one of the images shows. I recall when I first started ripping MusicBee prompted me for a directory. I added it not realizing that there was already a default library. Now I have "Ripped" folders showing up in two directories:
C:\Users\wland\Music\MusicBee
C:\Users\wland\Music\MusicBee Library
I have several albums in each folder and there doesn't appear to be any problem with them. I don't view this as a major issue, though eventually I'd like to get everything into one default library. Another problem for another day. If you see that as an issue, please let me know.
2. I cleared the album out and confirmed that it was deleted from the "MusicBee Library" folder. I then tried to rip the CD again. This time my PC had problems reading the disc. The problem was strange enough that it appears that the CD may be an issue despite the fact that it appeared to be fine up till this point. I closed out of MusicBee and started over and it ripped the CD to FLAC but gave me a "rip did not accurately match" error, as shown in one of the posted images. Despite that the CD is showing up in the directory and is playing with no apparent issue.
3. In sum, I think the settings are probably OK. I don't recall changing anything from the default other than MP3 to FLAC and checking "validate rips using accurate rip" per a previous recommendation. My sense is that the CD is the issue. I will try ripping it with other software to see what happens. I may also try ripping it with MusicBee again, depending on what I find with the other attempts.
If I learn anything that may be useful I'll add it to these posts. In the interim, thanks much to all of you have contributed.
