Directly with VLC, works fine. Every time. Why is it just .mp4 files? Even .ts & .mkv files work fine.

Using VLC. Set preferences to windows default, and tried linking directly to VLC. Same thing. Sound, with art, but no video. Any suggestions?

There's a volume control in the main window, even one in the mini player, but not the compact...Am I missing something? Also, where is the STOP button in any mode???
