I would gladly pay for a lastfm+ account if it meant allowing us to have old API relationship back. No idea if this would be possible on their end though.  :o

I am really disheartened over this whole thing. I made my last.fm account just because of MusicBee and how it integrated with it. They gained a customer because of MusicBee and now they're throwing us under the bus.

My playcounts and loved tracks are essential to my music listening experience. Really hope this gets resolved.  :'(

Questions / Display 'LastFM Loved' tracks as a display collumn?
« on: August 05, 2018, 10:45:06 AM »
I was hoping to label my favorite songs as "Loved" and then be able to view them as a library view, but there's no option in the "Displayed Collumns" for Loved tracks?

It works fine for displaying 5 starred tracks but is there a way to make it work for Loved tracks?

Thanks

Huge MusicBee user here, but I still use Plex to play music sometimes for this one awesome feature: https://imgur.com/a/ThVniiM

Popular tracks are indexed by what's in your library and then compared to Last.FM popular tracks.

I would love it if the Music Explorer in MB also did this.

Thanks

Questions / Re: Using "albumgrouping" tag from Picard?
« on: July 23, 2018, 05:50:04 PM »

If all files have been scanned and you're not seeing values for this field in the Tag Editor, but you do see it in Tag Inspector, then either there's a mismatch between the tag code and the value you gave MusicbBee in Define New Tags, or you didn't link the Custom Tag slot correctly in Tags (1).

Tag Inspector says the tag code is ALBUMGROUPING, now which box in MB do I need to enter this? Is it custom tag or virtual tag? I am so confused.  :-[

Thanks !

Questions / Folder view not working properly...

I just updated my MusicBee and now folder view is not working how it used to.

I want the following to show in musicbee NOT the contents of the folders:

Please help me I am bordering on insanity.  :-[

You should be able to configure it as a custom tag.

https://musicbee.wikia.com/wiki/Custom_Tags

Could you provide short instruction on how to do this? I have never set up a custom tag before so I'm confused. Also, when looking in details tab in one of my music files, there is no "albumgrouping" anywhere, so I'm not sure how or where this tag is even stored, but according to Picard all my files have one.

Edit: I was able to use foobar and display my music by "albumgrouping" and it worked perfectly. Now just need to figure out how to do the same thing in MusicBee as I hate Foobar.  :-[

Questions / Using "albumgrouping" tag from Picard?
« on: July 22, 2018, 10:28:25 PM »
I just tagged my music library with MusicBrainz Picard, and one of the tags I was interested in was "albumgrouping" which was provided by a lastfm plugin. I was hoping this could be displayed in MusicBee as it's one of the most accurate genre tags I've found.

Is there anyway to get musicbee to display it?

Thanks

Questions / Can I save track ratings somehow?
« on: March 11, 2018, 11:20:45 AM »
I like to rate all my best tracks with a 5 star rating, but sometimes I have to change album version and rescan it to my library as completely new files. Is there a way for MusicBee to remember the tracks were previously there and just update them at the backend?

I know you can import missing tracks one by one, pointing them to the new files, but is there some other way?

Questions / Is there a way to abbreviate my album names?
« on: November 17, 2017, 11:28:39 AM »
Instead of 'Xenoblade Chronicles Original SoundTrack', I just wanted to see 'Xenoblade Chronciles'.

I know I can manually edit the tags, but is there a setting in musicbee to do this for me?

Thanks it works now, but it doesn't play track from my library even though I own them  ?
Yeah, I noticed the same thing. Maybe that should be your wish, and I will add my support.
trying now i have no problem playing files from the Music Explorer panel. Can either of you explain this some more

Instead of the song playing from my Music Library(like plex does), it tries to sell me the track through some xbox live streaming thing.
