Thanks for your help.

Loading torrents into uTorrent and I have duplicate torrent files, like this:

http://imgur.com/WHLurFI

, and I got this note:

http://imgur.com/E5Ean6o

What does that mean? I see that there are duplicates, but I don't know which is the one I need, so I just selected to add both as new torrents.

Which one should I add? Or is it best to add both?

Thanks!!

Questions / how to make Musicbee my default music player on Windows?
« on: June 01, 2016, 10:51:58 PM »
has anyone got Windows 10 to recognize Musicbee as an app to be assigned to default music player in Default Apps? Mine recognizes iTunes and VLC, but not MB.

I'd slightly (very, very slightly) changed the names of my folders. Like using slashes instead of dashes for dates (11/10/15 vs 11-10-15). Just totally slipped my mind. Lord help me, haha.

Ugh... I am completely inept with this. I am honestly factory resetting my new laptop for the third time in hopes of getting this right haha. Part of me just wants to give up, and spend the countless hours editing metadata all over again, but I'll be living in the middle of the city soon, where I know my computer could get swiped at a moment's notice, and I know it's important that I am capable of restoring a backup in case of theft or accidental damage.

Do I need to have MB on my old laptop updated to the latest version in order to successfully migrate to my new computer where I have 3.0 installed? I believe my old laptop is on 2.5 or older.

Thank you guys so much for the help. However, something's still not right.

@ssri, I believe I have followed all your steps correctly, but my new MB can not locate many of my music files, which I have located in the same directories as I did on my old computer.

Musicbee asked me to remap my music folders, but in the remap window, the text labels above the two text-boxes for directories is cut off. All I can see is the bottom half (illegible) of characters-- this must be some kind of bug in the latest version. Can you please explain to me how to remap my music folders?

I can't seem to find appdata folders when i search This PC for MusicBee... I find files in an appdata location but when I try to follow them, it brings me back to the search. Is appdata the same thing as program files folders?

So I bought a new computer, and I've spent the past 2 hours trying to back up my musicbee library settings and playlists and metadata on my old computer and restore them on my new one. I don't need to back up the mp3 files, those are all already transferred to my new computer via hard drive. First, I installed MusicBee on my new computer and scanned all my music files into the program without doing anything with my backup, and then I read on http://musicbee.wikia.com/wiki/Backup_%26_Restore that I should have copied my backup files into some folders on my new computer immediately after install, before doing anything else. After repeatedly "uninstalling" (it leaves some files behind i am sure), reinstalling Musicbee, copying backup files to the program files folder (?)... an appdata folder (?)..  I don't even know what I am doing. Someone please break it down more simply for me.

Is there any way I can start over before even installing MusicBee on my new computer in the first place and try this again?
