Plugins / Re: Additional Tagging and Reporting Tools

Well I guess I've found the culprit. MusicBee.exe and the MB_TagTools.dll do not have a digital signature! Kaspersky Internet Security prohibits loading the MB_TagTools.dll into MusicBee. I 've  setup Kaspersky not to watch over other processes initiated by MusicBee! Now it's loading without any problems.

Still having problems that the mb_tagtools.dll won't load after the computer has been properly shutdown. Every time I have to manually add the plugin again in the preferences. When an user has been logged off and logged on again there is nothing the matter and the .dll normally loads! I haven't a clue whats going on here. The mb_tagTools.dll has been white listed. I never had this problem before....

Sorry but white listing the .dll does not work. It still disables itself. I must manually modify the musicbee3settings.ini to make it work again.
Perhaps another solution?

Try white-listing the dll in your security software. Or perhaps white-listing the entire MB folder.

Good Tip..
Thank you!

This wonderful plug-in keeps unloading itself lately. At MB startup I must manually add the plug-in again and again. Now  I'm doing this by modifying the Musicbee3Settings.ini:

<Id>C:\Users\Robert\AppData\Roaming\MusicBee\Plugins\mb_TagTools.dll</Id>
  <Name>Additional Tagging Tools</Name>
<Description>Adds some tagging tools to MusicBee</Description>
  <Enabled>false</Enabled>

and set false to true.

I have the latest version of both MB and MB_tagtools installed!

I would love to have the possibility to filter out non available files in case of i.e. external discs which are offline. I mainly work with external discs. Another way to obtain this information is to grey out music files in the browser that are not available.

MB version: 3.0.6347

mb_TagTools.dll version:

4.11.0.0 loads normally
4.18.0.0 does not load *
4.19.0.0 does not load *

* When I try to activate the plug-in I get a program exception error without any comment.

Cheers!

I need this because I mainly work with external drives. If I want to update only certain tags from online files, the filtered search results also show me the offline files! I can sort them of course, but I find this very inconvenient. It would be nice to have a way to process this condition into the filter.

Run MB not as administrator!

Is there a another way to filter out non available files BEFORE applying a certain filter?  :'(

I'm sorry Steven but I have still the same problem. All my files in the MusicBee DB from the external drives are gone if they are offline and monitored or scanned for new files.

MusicBee version 3.0.6248.36282 installed,

MusicBee Wishlist / Possibility to set a filter on not available files
« on: January 30, 2017, 01:37:01 PM »
I'm working mainly with external drives. It's not possible to filter out these files when the drives are offline.
Is it possibe to get an entry in the filter settings to filter out files that have an exclamation mark?

14
I have 3 external drives mounted to MB. When the drives are off an exclamation mark is being displayed in front of these files. That's OK.

Now when I press insert (scanning for new files) ALL entries in the database from these external drives which are OFFLINE but marked in the overview as folders to scan, are being deleted or are not visible anymore. (Luckily I had a backup!!)

However, if I unmark these external drives in the overview all files are maintained in the database.
HELP!! This is a very strange behaviour.

MusicBee Wishlist / A way to filter out files that are not accessible.

A way to filter out files on i.e. external drives. If these drives are off-line the files on it are not accessible and may not appear on i.e. automatic generated playlists.
