Questions / Re: Media Keys not working properly with musicbee

Me too, I've been having this issue for half a year, after a Windows Update. I am sick and tired of this!

I'm having the exact same issue now, ever since I installed the latest 3.3.7165 (15th of August) version...

Those are all pitch shifters. I am looking for the resample effect (stretch + pitch at the same time)

I have contacted the plugin author, and he said that he can have a look at getting it work with Musicbee.

He went on to say: "My initial guess why PaceMaker crashes in MusicBee is that PaceMaker can return out more samples to the player than it gets in. That's necessary because when a plugin slows down the music tempo, then it must produce more output samples than gets in. This behavior is in a 'gray' area of Winamp dsp api and depending on the player implementation it may cause a buffer overrun. I can yet verify this theory, the crash might be due to something else as well."

Maybe Steven can lend him a hand ? His email address is [email protected]

MusicBee Wishlist / A true speed control module :'(
« on: March 25, 2018, 08:26:49 AM »
I've tried for so long to find a solution to this. I wish to slow down my music, sometimes to create a Vaporwave-type experience, sometimes for technical reasons. Yes, I know there is a tempo control. But that's not what I need. I wish to resample the audio, automatically changing not only its length, but also its pitch. This dsp plugin did wonders just for that in good ol' Winamp.

But it does not work in MusicBee, I tried it so many times over the past three years. What could be the solution? Adapt MusicBee to work with the plugin or make an integrated proper speed module in MusicBee?

As always, thank you for your patience with our wants and needs, Steven. I send you all my love.  :-*

MusicBee Wishlist / Re: Keep search results tabs after program restart

Thank you, Steven, it works now! :D

Did you get to read my last posts, Steven? I would really like your take on this issue...

Another interesting observation is that custom hotkeys (for ex. ctrl+alt+shift+s) don't seem to get disabled, but the media buttons do... I have them all programmed on my mouse, and unforutnately I don't have a STOP function in my mouse settings, so I used a special key combination. Right now, as I am typing, the media keys (Play/Pause, Next/Previous) don't respond anymore, while the Stop function which has been mapped to the aforementioned combination, does work accordingly.

Hey Steven, do you think you can look again at this issue? I mean right now it is by far the worst issue I have with MusicBee, I keep having to restart it, sometimes as often as 9-10 times a day because of this... And as I said, MPC-HC does not ever lose its global media key responsiveness... I've encountered this on three different PCs, two with Windows 10 and one with Windows 7.

:D SO so glad to hear that!!! :D

Whoa, just discovered a major bug: If you do multiple searches, they are all seemingly kept upon MusicBee restart, but once you click on the older search tabs, they all MAGICALLY turn, one by one, into a clone of the newest search tab.   :(

14
This is EXACTLY what is happening to me, even with the latest build. Has anyone found a proper solution? I have to contradict Steven, it's not Windows at fault, as Media Player Classic does not lose its global media key responsiveness, no matter how heavy the workload is on my PC.

It works!!!!!!!!! Search tabs are now kept! :D THANK YOU, MAN! :D MusicBee just became even MORE functional!!!   :-*

-Just a small observation: if you search for something in a tab and you pin said tab, it DOES get saved upon restart, but all the results are gone... If you first pin the tab and you do the search afterward, the tab is saved along with the results, as intended.
