Confirming as well that the Wifi Sync app isn't working on Pixel 8 Pro (Android 14). I tried the stock app as well as the APK someone modified here. Even with the All Files Access setting enabled I still am unable to select the root folder. Yes I have restarted.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying.  If you've turned on Edit->Edit Preferences->Plugins...last.fm...synchronize Play Count then the MB play count will be overwritten with the last.fm data each time you close and open MB or manually synchronize.

If you haven't turned on that option, then you don't use last.FM for syncing.

I do have that option checked in preferences. It syncs the playcount from last.fm but it also increases the play count and adds Last Played date when I play the song in MB. Last.fm isn't the issue, it's these particular songs. There are 3 that I've found that will not be marked as played when I play them. Everything about them seems fine as I've played them dozens of times in MB and they are in albums where the other songs are marked as played just fine.

Thanks for your replies. The files aren't read only, I checked that. I do use last.FM for syncing but I'm talking about just playing it in MusicBee and the software itself marking it as played. I have a playlist with all songs I haven't played in the last 2 years and other songs are removed from that list when I play them. These few songs, however, never have their Last Played date updated nor Play Count increased, and they remain in the playlist. I'm not using any tagging tools and these are mp3 files.

I just whitelisted my entire songs directory in Windows Defender and restarted MusicBee but the same issue occurs.

I have multiple songs that will not be marked as played or have their play count increased when the song has completed. I'm not sure if this is a bug or some other issue, but I have replicated the issue multiple times.

Questions / Syncing MusicBee playlists with any other app?

Hi all,

I love MusicBee but having no mobile app is a big downfall. I'd love to use any number of apps that support casting (Google Play Music, Spotify), but the problem is that all of them have awful playlist mechanics. They don't support auto-playlists and I'm not aware of any way of continuously synchronizing MusicBee playlists with other services. Does anyone know a way to do this?

As an aside, which Android app do you recommend to sync MusicBee with that supports casting?

I appear to have finally fixed this issue! I'm not sure if it's on 3.1 (which I now have) or not, but I did 2 things:

1) I removed all odd characters out of my playlist names, including a - and a » I was using
2) I changed the format of my MusicBee playlists to M3U instead of MBP. I did this in Preferences/Library/Playlists

Then I deleted all playlists on my Android and resynced and got no errors at all. It's a miracle!

I'm having the same issue. Tried all playlist versions and the ones I select don't all sync correctly. At least some are always empty.

Wow that worked, amazing! Only issue now is that all the playlists are empty except for 2. All my music is there but not in playlists. Suggestions?

The playlists aren't folders, no. Just regular playlists. How do I select M3U8 as the option? In MusicBee I believe I can only select PLA or M3U as sync options.

There is no pattern that I can tell. The only ones are Recently Played, Recently Added, one auto playlist and one regular playlist. Maybe it has something to do with symbols? Because the only 2 playlists that appear in my playlist folder on the phone are ones that have the » icon in the playlist title.

On my device settings in MusicBee I check about 10 playlists (some auto, some regular) to sync with my phone. Only 4 of them end up getting synced, even though all the music is there. I tried M3U and PLA formats. I'm using an HTC One and the stock Music app. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Questions / Help importing play count data from last.fm to MusicBee

I have a brand new last.fm account which I imported iTunes data into. It says I have 68,000 scrobbles. I also imported the iTunes play count data into MusicBee. As I use MusicBee I want to import new last.fm data into MusicBee so when I play songs on the go (Google Music, Spotify, etc) and scrobble them, it will update my MusicBee play counts.

I have been searching for hours and hours on end but can't figure this out. When I import the last.fm data into MusicBee it says no tracks are updated. If I scrobble one song from Google Music it will only update that one song's count in MusicBee, and the count will be 1 instead of what it actually is from the iTunes import data.

I saw in another post that MusicBee just imports whatever number is given from last.fm's API, but the API of my account clearly says my play counts are higher:

So what can I do to fix this? Please help, it's been driving me crazy.

I'm also having this issue. Is there a fix? I'm moving my entire library from iTunes to MusicBee and play counts are really important to me. If MusicBee doesn't do this accurately then I have no point in using the software, which is sad because I love it so far.
