According to phred's suggestion:
Currently that can't be done. If it's really important to you, your request should be posted in the Wishlist section for future consideration.
Here's my request:

Currently, when I double click an artist or album name in the Library explorer (on the left side panel), it starts playing that artist or album.

I would like to be able to change that so that double-clicking will expand the list. In effect, do the same as the arrow on the left side does.

I think it would be nice if it was one of the options for users to define on the settings. I know that playback was requested for this before, but I'm sure there are users like me, who would like to expand a list instead of starting to play.

Questions / Double clicking begins playback instead of...
« on: July 16, 2016, 06:31:41 AM »
I am using the latest V3 of MusicBee.

When I double click an artist name in the Library explorer (the left side panel), it starts playing that artist.
I would like to change that so that double-clicking will expand the albums for that artist.

At the moment, the only way to do it, is click the arrow to the left of the artist name, manually.

How do I change the behavior of "double click"?

MusicBee Wishlist / [Closed] Integration with Foobar2000
« on: June 27, 2013, 01:41:14 PM »
I hope this is not blasphemy, but I would like to be able to define an external music player, just as there's a video player definition.

I spent ages configuring my default music player, Foobar2000, adding scripts etc. I am very fond of it, as a result.
I use MB as my music catalog, so, obviously, I'd like to be able to "tell" MB to play the music in my preferable player.
Either by double click or drag&Drop, or any other way that is user-friendly.

I know MB has its own player, but since this is a wish list, and since I came to truly like MB, I'd like it to be able to offer more.

Thanks for V2.1, I just downloaded it.
 *Thumbs up*

MusicBee Wishlist / seperate folders to scan per library item
« on: May 07, 2013, 09:54:26 AM »
I would like to have the option to scan (in the Add files" menu option) different folders to be added for the different types of the library:
One set (as it is today) for "music"
A possible separate set for "Audiobooks"
Etc.

The reason is that these items are close in nature (audio) but still have a very different use, and are likely to be saved on different HDD locations/ devices.

I tried to define a second library for this purpose, but it's not as friendly.

I think in concept, this has some relation to the suggestion on topic "http://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=8685.0"

And thank you for a wonderful product.
The more I use it, the more I love it.
