Questions / Library bak file cannot be saved
« on: June 09, 2022, 07:02:23 PM »

I installed MusicBee version 3.4.7805 a year ago upon installing a new desktop. It worked fine until today. It didn't open and I was asked to add or localize the music library. I noticed that the .mbl file was missing in the MusicBee file in Program Files (x86), so I added it from my backup files. Then it opened without any problems but upon closing I got an error message saying that the bak file couldn't be saved, access denied. See screenshot. It's in Dutch but I suppose you'll know what it is about. I whitelisted MusicBee to my antivirus program as the message suggested but that didn't help. I find this strange as I didn't have any issues before and I didn't change anything. I have full administrator rights. Can you explain what went wrong and what I should do?

Questions / Help with upgrade
« on: August 06, 2018, 01:24:58 PM »
Hello everybody,

I still have MusicBee 2.4 because when 2.5 came out, I got the message from Steven that some data would have to be re-entered and I was scared that it would change a lot and I wouldn't know how to fix things. Am in overload with so much other stuff already. But I know it's wise to upgrade, so now I'm asking for help as I don't remember what I had to do. Could anyone assist me in that process, please?

Questions / MB doesn't play cd
« on: April 23, 2014, 10:41:49 AM »
Hi, I installed MB again on my new pc and have a problem with playing cds from the DVD player. When I choose play on Drive (A:) an error is displayed, saying (translated back to English): "cannot play this file, it has a format that is not supported or it is damaged". There's nothing wrong with the cd and I can play it with VLC Media Player and Windows Media Player. What's wrong?

MusicBee Wishlist / Rearrange order by dragging in normal folders
« on: April 29, 2013, 04:41:50 PM »
Please add the rearrange-order-by-dragging mode to the normal folders. Which includes automatic changing of track numbers. Now - as far as I'm aware - this is only possible in the playlist section.
I refer to my post "Creating Playlists" in the General section.
Thanks guys, you're awesome!   :)
