Questions / Automatically follow playing track in current tab?
« on: August 04, 2017, 12:37:49 PM »
I can use a hotkey to Locate Playing Track in Current Tab, but I would like this to happen automatically, so the currently playing track stays in focus in the Main panel. Is this possible?

Can someone help me with this? I could probably figure it out eventually, but it would take a lot of trial-and-error.

What I want is to split a duration like 356:25 into 5 hours, 56 minutes, 25 seconds, including some conditional checks to only display the hours bit if the duration is actually greater than an hour.

Huge thanks hanks to anyone who offers to help me out 8)

Questions / Add a specific value to a specific tag using a button?
« on: August 03, 2017, 08:51:12 PM »
This is the short version of my question:
Can I assign a specific value to a specific tag using a button?

This is the long version with more context:
I have a lot of old radio shows that I wan to add to MB. I originally planned to add them as podcasts so I can keep track of which chapters/episodes I have listened to, but the thought of parsing out the episode dates from the file names and getting them all tagged properly doesn't sound like fun.

So now I'm thinking of just adding them to my main library, and just using filters to keep them seperate, or maybe some custom tag magic in the Column Browser. Anyway, I have tested out a system that uses the Highlight feature to add a check-mark icon to episodes I've listened to, and I've added a check-mark button to write the necessary tag that triggers the display of the checkmark.

Technically it works, but it's sloppy. The only way I've found to do this is to abuse the Rating tag (which I don't use). So the button tags files with a rating of 1.5, and the Highlighting rule displays the checkmark for all tracks rated 1.5

But surely there is a better way to do this, right? I can create a custom tag called <checked>, and change the Highlighting rule to work from that instead, but I don't know how to assign a value to a tag using a button (if that's even possible).

Questions / Libraries as tabs?
« on: July 30, 2017, 07:55:46 PM »
I have two libraries. I would like to open each one in a tab, and pin them so they stay open, and I can switch between them easily. Is this possible?

If not, what other options do I have for quickly changing libraries?

Thanks  :)
