Recently (not sure when, but a few months back), My lyrics panel is not automatically retrieving any lyrics. Instead, I get the word "Videolink" and a random 2 or 3 digit number in the panel. I get the lyrics if i use the "Delete and redo search" option. MB also creates a windows folder that now contains thousands of text files with the "Videolink ##" text.

Bit stumped by this one. I've tried and checked all settings options but can't get rid of this annoying problem.

Anyone, any ideas?

Bug Reports / Dual Screen Resizing Error

This only just started happening. When I move Full Screen MB from main right-hand monitor to secondary left-hand monitor, MB resizes Album Art and Visualiser panels (Left main panel). Could be just one of these two panels as one would affect the other. MB also resizes the right sidebar. The exact same thing happens if I Restore Down MB window in either monitor and re-maximise it. I have included two screen shots. "MusicBee-8" Is the right hand main display and you will see that the album covers number eight across, widthways. This screenshot is my preferred setup. "MusicBee-9" shows what happens when I shift the window to the left hand monitor or restore-down then re-maximise the window in either monitor. MB visibly shrinks the width of both side panels and you will see that the album covers display is now 9 albums wide. Moving the window back to the main display from secondary display does not return it to its previous layout, remaining as you see in MusicBee-9. As I move the window around a lot, depending on what I'm doing, this is becoming a real nuisance.

Windows 10 Home (fully up to date).
MB 3.5.8447 (latest build).
Both monitors are identical in brand, resolution and setup.
Behaviour happens every time the MB window is moved between screens or restored down and re-maximised.
Closing and re-starting will display the same layout as from which window it was closed.

Questions / Artist Sort Problem

Hi. During one of the most recent updates, MB has started sorting artists as <Surname, First Name> instead of my preferred <First Name Last Name> (i.e. Zappa, Frank, instead of Frank Zappa). I use MP3 Tag to tag my files before adding to MB. When I recently ripped a pile of Frank Zappa CD's, both "Artist" and "Album Artist" were originally tagged as "Frank Zappa". When I look at the sort field in the tag editor, this has been set as "Zappa, Frank". I have unticked "Enable custom sort values" and depopulated the Artist and Composer Name Sorting list. If I re-tick that list, the list repopulates picking seemingly random artists. I've given up trying to depopulate the list again, but have unticked the "Enable Custom Sort box" again. I'm still getting <Surname, First Name> for all new artists though.
Probably me being dumb, but does anyone have any ideas? This only started happening recently.

MusicBee Wishlist / Equaliser Panel

Can we please have an equaliser panel. I have a few albums that have equaliser settings in the settings panel. For this I need to have the equaliser panel permanently on. Trouble is, I then need to remember what current equaliser settings are on. It would be good to see the EQ permanently on display.

Although... Question: If my regular EQ is set to say, Bass Boost. Would an album I have set to Treble Boost switch settings completely or just add treble on top of the Bass? I'm guessing that would answer my problem and I wouldn't need to remember anything. Would still like the ability to see the EQ permanently though.

Thanks for such a great product. Really appreciate it.

Hi. With MusicBee running in the background for some time (Out of focus). When I return to it, it always crashes. It plays a split second of music, then just closes. I can perform all other tasks, just not play any music. No error report, nothing. Just me?

Questions / Artist Pictures

Hi. Would it be possible to add an option to artist pictures that uses album artist rather than artist? The problem is this...

* I have an album by Morse/Portnoy/George (It could be any multiple artist group also with it's own group name).
* In the artist field for the album information, I put: Neal Morse; Mike Portnoy; Randy George
* In the album artist field, I put Morse/Portnoy/George

This, I think, is the correct way to do this as it means I can find all three artists separately in the column browser and can see when certain artists are guests on other artists albums.

However. The artist picture panel doesn't look for the band Morse/Portnoy/George. It looks for the first artist in the artist field. So all I get are pictures of Neal Morse.

Oh, and the same happens with artist biography. It only shows information for Neal Morse.

Hope that makes sense? I looked for options in settings but for the artist picture setting it says "No Options"

Or... Is there another way to achieve this?

Hi. I've just adapted the excellent Mellon Remix skin for my own use, changing the bright green to a mint green. I've also managed to change the color below the peak signal on the placeable spectrum visualiser to a rark red, to stand out against the new green. However, there is a small visualiser on the bottom control buttons bar and I can't find the setting for its color. At the moment it is almost invisible. Anybody got any idea where it is in the skin xml, or know what I should be looking for? I did find some setting but changing the colors did nothing.

Bit random, I know but it's irking me.

Questions / Musicbee not responding

Hi. I'm finding (since 3.3.7367) that, if I leave MB opened in the background, not playing any music and whilst I'm busy doing other things, when I return to it, it has become totally unresponsive. I have found I can get around this by switching to compact player from the task bar, at which time MB now responds, and then maximising it back to full screen. I find this to be a bit bizarre; MB obviously hasn't crashed as I can eventually restore it without closing and re-opening it, I just can't bring it into focus when clicking on it normally.

Just me, or this a known problem?

Questions / Date Added sort field

Hi. I would like the ability to sort All of my albums via the column browser by the date they were added. That is: One continuous, long list (just like you see when you click on "ALL" in, let's say, the "Artist" field and is the way it is done in Foobar. I like that MB displays Added Dates in specific days, but this isn't always what I want to see. Can I do this via a custom field? If so, how - no programming skills :-( ? If not, can I add this as a requested feature

General Discussions / Album art window

I've raised this before but was hoping I might find a new answer. I have two monitors, both 1920x1080. If I move MB, full screen from one to the other, the large album art window resizes itself and doesn't go back to it's previous size. The same happens if I take it from full screen to a floating window and back again. I do this quite a lot as I often juggle apps and monitors when I'm working. This means I have to resize the album art every time I move the window across monitors or size it between full screen and floating window. No other media software does this. I love Musicbee way above any other media player software, but I do find this extremely frustrating. Does this annoy anyone else? Has anyone found a setting that fixes this or has found a way around it?

Questions / Changing library view causes MB to drop out of current viewed items

This only started with the latest version 3.3.7310. If I'm viewing a particular artist or library view with just album covers. If I switch to view with album covers and tracks, MB takes me away from what I was viewing and back to the default list of all albums. Is there a setting I'm missing or is this just how it is now?

Questions / MB not displaying Various Artists albums

Hi. I just recently migrated to a new PC and did a completely new MB install. All seemed fine until I tried looking for various artists under the album artist heading in column browser. When I click on Various Artists, it displays just 2 albums and only 2 tracks from a third. I can find the albums in the main display and they all have the correct Album Artist assignation of "Various Artists" but don't show up when I click on that name in the column browser. I've tried dragging the folder from Windows File Explorer onto the "Music" node in the media tree but it says "No Files Added". So MB must know the files are there. This setup still works fine on my previous Windows 10 PC but not on the new one. I'm confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Questions / 3.3 Restore up/down problem

Not sure if this is a bug/intentional or if there is a setting somewhere to fix this. When I retsore full window down and then restore up again, the panels (most annoyingly, the Art panel) don't restore to previous position and have to be reset manually.
