1) Have the Inbox node pinned as a tab and use a custom layout
2) Play a track from inside Inbox
3) Switch to another pinned tab with a custom layout
4) Use the "Locate playing track at source" command either by double click in player controls panel or through the context menu

Result: It creates new tab for inbox and locates the playing track there

Request: If a pinned Inbox tab already exists, switch to that tab and locate the playing track there

The main reason I would like to have this is, currently when it opens a new Inbox tab, it (as expected) doesn't use the custom layout I have in the pinned Inbox tab.

EDIT
Several clarifications

Maybe not technically a bug, but nevertheless a bug in principle.

You can't currently have two tabs, each with a different custom layout assigned, with one using Album & Tracks "Detailed list" and the other one the "Compact grid".

I think it would be a natural expectation for there to be seperation between the two layouts, given different custom views are being used.

Bug Reports / Pinning a tab hides the left side-panel
« on: June 14, 2021, 08:08:20 PM »
Whenever I pin a tab (right-click > pin tab) the left side-panel gets hidden.

Not sure if there's a reason / setting for this that I'm not aware of, but this not a behaviour I would called desired or expected, hence why I'm reporting this as a bug.

I just played an album that is just a single flac file separated into tracks using a cue sheet. The first track of the album scrobbled fine but all the following tracks even though they were showing correctly with a status "scrobbling now" on Last.fm during playback, they did not register as scrobbles on completion.

Steven if you may need to take a look at the cue sheet or the flac file itself, let me know.

Bug Reports / Loved tracks not being synced to last.fm
« on: April 30, 2021, 03:33:17 PM »
I've been noticing recently (definitely several days now) that loved tracks don't get synced to last.fm. Currently on 3.4.7789.

Also is there a way to force sync all loved tracks from MusicBee to Last.fm? I can see there's an option for the opposite.

Virtual9 Code:
Code
$If($Split(<Time>,:,1)>59,"more than 1hr","less than 1hr")

It seems to be doing a comparison against the first digit, 5, instead of the whole number (59)

Am I missing something or doing something wrong?

MusicBee Wishlist / Add option to "Select all ticked files"
« on: April 13, 2021, 10:00:08 AM »
With the tick column displayed in the main panel, when your right click on a track you get the following tick-related options

Given that the option to "select all unticked files" already exists I think it would make sense to also have the option to Select all ticked files. That would help with performing any further actions with the ticked files (e.g queuing the ticked tracks for playback, creating a playlist, drag & dropping etc)

In podcasts view the "ignore words" setting (Settings>Sorting/Grouping) doesn't seem to be taken into account. Not sure if that's intentional but it probably should.

I have the option "queue selected tracks next and play now" selected as the "Play Now' Action in settings.

The issue I'm facing right now is when I open MB and queue an album/track for playback by double-cliking,  then the current track (the track I left off at but didn't get to listen to yet the last time I closed  MB) gets put before the queued tracks, effectively being skipped, in the "playing tracks" list. Which means that I always have to go back and reorder that track below the album I just queued.

Maybe there's an option I'm missing to get around this or perhaps a change in my workflow. Any suggestions?

Currently with the option "store ratings in music file" unchecked:

1. Changing the rating of a track in the main panel changes the track's rating and stores it in MB's database
2. Changing the rating of a track in the tag editor changes the track's rating, stores it in MB's database but also removes the embedded rating tag (if it exists)

This behaviour is inconsistent and lacks clarity.

I think a user that has the "store ratings in music file" disabled would expect MB to not touch the embedded rating tag or if it does it should be clearly communicated by the program.

DB and embeded ratings might need a bit of an overhoul in general as it's a bit confusing now which one of the two takes precedent. Since it's already possible for both tags to coexist maybe a radio option in settings would make sense e.g 1. prioritise embeded rating tags 2. prioritise ratings in library.
Then maybe also expose both rating tags as fields (embeded rating/library rating) which can then be used as columns and in filters (e.g. to see which tracks have embedded ratings and which do not) for more flexibility. The existing rating tag will adhere to whatever the user has chosen to be prioritised.

That's just an idea and I may be overcomplicating things so let me know your thoughts. Whatever the case though, there needs to be more clarity/consistency in this area.

Bug Reports / Bing doesn't pull any album artwork
« on: March 04, 2021, 09:47:50 PM »
Did Bing change the way they serve the images? I don't seem to get any results on all of the albums I've tried. (v. 3.4.7732)

Bug Reports / [solved] Import panel arrangement doesn't work
« on: November 28, 2018, 12:39:36 PM »
I was experimenting with different panel arrangements and exporting them only to find out that import (View > Import/ Export > Import panel arrangement...) doesn't seem to be doing anything. I  would expect that upon importing it would change the layout to the selected layout snapshot.

Is there something I'm missing or is this indeed a bug?

MusicBee version 3.3.6904

Title. The wide layout currently does not seem to revert to scrolling text for longer titles and instead the text is simply cut off. The narrow layout already supports scrolling text.

Bug Reports / Visual bug in Album & Tracks view when using search
« on: December 30, 2017, 03:54:36 PM »
MusicBee ver. 3.2.6571 but it happens in a few previous versions I tried as well (3.1.xxxx).

I think the best way to illustrate this is with a .gif

Title. Currently when you wish to drag and drop a file to any of the nodes in the left sidebar it won't open.
