Questions / Tagging: Copy tag field into another and then replace entries automatically

Hey,

I'm a little desperate right now because I have a problem that can't be solved when tagging using mp3tag.
Is there a way in Musicbee to copy certain word sequences from e.g. Genre into another tag field and then replace them with other words?

Plan: copy from Tag Field "Genre" to tag field "wwwradiopage" (which i use as "Main Genre" tag field)

Examples:
I tagged the tag field Genre like this: Acoustic Ballad; Acoustic Metal; Trance; Dixieland
Main Genres for that would be: Acoustic Ballad -> "Acoustic" and "Ballad". Acoustic Metal -> "Acoustic" and "Metal". Trance -> "EDM". Dixieland -> "Jazz".
Is there a way in Musicbee to execute a command or smth that copies from the above example of the "Genre" tag field into another tag field, in this example like this: "Acoustic; Ballad; Metal; EDM; Jazz" ? The problem here is that each time there are different tags in the tag field genre.

Examples:
Genre "Melodic Metal; Heavy Metal; Metal Ballad" should be Main Genre: "Metal; Ballad" (all genres are in the main genre "Metal", Metal Ballad -> "Metal" and "Ballad")
Genre "Symphonic Metal; Heavy Metal; Orchestral Metal; Orchestral Choir" should be Main Genre: "Metal; Orchestral; Contemporary Choir" (Symponic Metal, Heavy Metal and Orchestral Metal -> "Metal", Orchestral Metal -> "Orchestral" and "Metal", Orchestral Choir -> "Orchestral" and "Contemporary Choir")
Genre "Post Hardcore; Metalcore; Alternative Metal" should be Main Genre: "Metal; Alternative" (Post Hardcore and Metalcore -> "Metal", Alternative Metal -> "Alternative" and "Metal")
Genre "Synth Pop; Dark Ambient; Dark Wave" should be Main Genre: "Pop; Gothic; Rock; Ambient" (Synth Pop -> "Pop", Dark Ambient -> "Gothic" and "Ambient", Dark Wave -> "Gothic" and "Rock")

It would be great if there was a way to do this automatically

Hey,

A few days ago I discovered a tool that can be extremely helpful when tagging music! I tested a few songs (genre, subgenre, mood etc. ) And the tool was absolutely right for mostly every song!
There is an open API that can also be used to analyse tracks on Spotify.

To my idea:
I would like to have a plugin in Musicbee that searches the library for missing tags (e. g. genre) and then uses cyanite to search for the corresponding track in spotify and insert the analysis results of cyanite as a tag. I would be absolutely willing to pay the person who creates such a plugin! With really tens of thousands of songs that are not tagged yet, that would be a huge help.

I really think this Tool is absolutley brilliant!

Questions / Involved Peoples List - how to do it correctly?

Hey.

I have now decided, that I would like to have a few more tags in my files.
Among them: Guest Artist, Orchestra, Choir (if a choir is involved), Choirs (for people singing the choirs), background singers.
Now my idea was, to do it with the multiple artist splitter:


problem now is: How can I select, for example "Choirs" in the fields?:


And the other thing is, that Choirs and Orchestra both are shown in "Artist: Performer". Is there a way to show "Orchestra" in "Artist: Guest"?

I would like to show in the track information panel which playlists the current song is in. I have created some auto-playlists, but unfortunately they are not displayed. Are auto-playlists not supported? What can I do, to show them in the track information panel?

I know that some weeks ago I changed some things in the grey window on the bottom of the now playing tab. But now I can't find the setting where I can edit this field... Can somebody help, please?

Questions / Add Multiple versions of an album, but only one mp3 tracks to MB

Hey.
I hope I can describe my problem in a way that everyone understands.

I have several versions of some albums here. For example, the covers differ, but the songs themselves are the same.
At the moment I copied the folder of the album and then added the information to the songs of the copy. For example: “The Masterpieces (Russian Edition) “ + the different Cover+cd scan.
This takes up a lot of hard disk space in the long run. Is there a way to assign multiple information to the same mp3 or flac files, so that they are displayed separately, like it's now (see Screenshot)?

Questions / Tags missing in mp3tag but there are there in Musicbee

Hey,

I hope to be able to describe my problem in a reasonably comprehensible way.
To explain for now: I also tag my files with the singers. For this “Vocals” tag I use the “wwwartist” field.

I wanted to change something a few days ago in an already tagged album and opened it in mp3tag. I noticed that there were no entries in the field for “Vocals.” If several singers were listed, there was only one left.
So for example:
Instead of “Anna Zanoda; Gerhard Brian”
There was only “Anna Zanoda” in mp3tag.
Even in "extended tags" window was only one tag for Vocals.
But: In musicbee there are still “Anna Zanoda; Gerhard Brian”

How is that possible? Even when I close and reopen musicbee, search for new files, update database ect. It's still the same. When I change the tag in mp3tag it is changed within seconds in musicbee also.

Questions / Musicbee shows tags which are not in the file.

Hej,

Today, I tagged many Various Artists Sampler. I sort them by year and collect them into complete new Order. Then I added the Folder to musicbee and realized, that musicbee shows tags which are not in the tags of the mp3 file. It just at some files (maybe 20 to 25 out of 600) but I have my own way how I tag my files. So why musicbee shows tags (and even covers) which I deleted before in mp3tag?

Questions / Merge same songs in statistics.

I hope I can explain this in some way.
My music collection is tagged to display different versions of songs in an extra tagfield (See screenshot)



That means, the “title” is always e. g. “I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For” even if it is an Instrumental Version or any other Version/Remix.
Is it possible to get Musicbee to display such songs as ONE song in the statistics?
Example:
Artist: U2 - Title: I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For (Played 12 times)
Artist: U2 - Title: I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For - Titleversion: (New Version 2018) (Played 4 times)
Artist: U2 - Title: I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For - Titleversion: (Remix) (Played 5 times)

To show it in the statistic as:
Artist: U2 - Title: I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For (Played 21 times)
doesn't matter which versions of the Song was played.

I hope it is understandable what I mean

Would be great if that is possible somehow.

Questions / Show Guest Artist and Original Artist only IF this tag-fields not empty

Hey

Is there any chance to show these only if the "GUEST ARTIST" and "origartist" are not empty?
If they are empty they show (Original Artist: unknown) and (Artist: Guest Artist unknown)

Questions / Mark Artists as "Inactive" or "Dead"

Hey

Is there a way to mark Artists as "Not Active" or "Dead"? My first Idea was to put a "(NA)" for not active and a (†) for Artists who Dead. But maybe there is another way? Maybe to use a not used Tagfield (Like (at me) "Original Year" or "BPM" and put there "(NA)" or "(†)" and then tell musicbee to show it after Artists Name if, for example, "BPM has †" ?

Or maybe someone here has a better idea?

Questions / Panel "title Information": Make genres and artists clickable.

Hey.

Is there a way to make the genres and the artists in the title information panel clickable. sometimes i hear a song, who is a featured artist or a genre in and then want hear more songs of that artist or genre. the best way would be, to click on artists/genres name and show in music explorer all albums who artist or genre is involved. Is that possible?

Is there any Option to play tracks for example: by Genre: Power Metal released from 2010 to 2014? Or play only tracks from 1990 to 1999 with Genre Eurodance from Germany?

Questions / Bigger Cover in Theater mode "Artist pictures"

i got another question and can't find an answer via google.
Is it possible to make the cover art iin the theater mode "artist pictures" some bigger? I like this view, but would like to have the cover more big :/
