Bug Reports / Musicbee crash on resume from standby (Lenovo T450)
« on: August 24, 2016, 10:40:13 PM »
Hi,
Long time user of MB, thanks for this great player.

One problem I've been encountering since I got this new laptop - if MB is running, and then I put the laptop in Sleep mode, when I resume (exit sleep mode, enter password to unlock windows), MB will crash. It's win7 x64 on a Lenovo Thinkpad T450.

If there's any diagnostics/logs I can provide just let me know.

Edit: running MB 3.0.6053

Thanks,
- C

Portable Devices / MTP device no longer detected?
« on: August 31, 2012, 02:28:32 AM »
Hi,

Out of the blue (not sure what caused it), MB is no longer detecting the presence of my MTP mp3 player (creative zen mozaic).

Windows 7 x64 detects it, I see it in WMP, and I *used* to see it in MB as well but all of a sudden it no longer shows up in MB at all! No changes to MB version, no particular updates to windows etc. that I can think of that might have caused this...

Is there some cache file or other way to 'jump start' this and make MB see this device again? I tried toggling the "detect MTP devices" setting in the prefs with no luck.

Other suggestions? Stumped....  :-\

Thanks,
C

MusicBee Wishlist / Duplicate/clone autoplaylist
« on: August 18, 2012, 03:54:34 PM »
I have some rather complex auto-playlists defined. Sometimes I want to create a duplicate of one and just modify 1 or 2 parameters. But there doesn't appear to be any way to duplicate or clone an APL. Can that be added at some point? It would save me a lot of busy work.  :P ;D

Thanks...

MusicBee Wishlist / "Percentage" based auto-playlists?
« on: July 19, 2012, 04:57:06 AM »
Here's what I'm after - would be delighted if someone can describe how I could do it with what's supported in MB already, but I've tried quite a few things (some pretty convoluted!  :D  ) and can't get it quite where I want it.

Basically I'd like an auto-playlist where I can do all of these simultaneously:

- apply some generic/global criteria (IS mp3, time < 20min, etc)
- apply some overall restriction (total size is less than a CD-R)
- and the clincher: pick 70% of songs from playlist X and 30% of songs from playlist Y

Or, even more basic: pick 70% rating >3 and 30% rating = 3.

Any thoughts?  ???

MusicBee Wishlist / Edit tags for cue sheets?
« on: March 28, 2012, 04:21:18 PM »
Would be nice to be able to use the edit tags dialog to change track info that's read from a cue sheet, ie, if playing a component song of a large mp3 file with corresponding cue sheet, and you do edit tags on that track, that MB would modify the cue sheet with the updated info (title, artist, performer, ie only whatever is supported by cue sheets of course) instead of always presenting the parent file's info. Maybe on another tab or something? It's a pain to find & open up the cue sheet text file just to correct a spelling error or something.

Foobar2000 has this capability and I'm missing it in MB. Thanks!

So I recently migrated from foobar2000 to musicbee - overall, I'm EXTREMELY pleased by the functionality mb is delivering, it's really quite amazing & I'm only sorry I didn't discover it sooner.

That said...  ::)  :P

One thing I really liked about f2k was the so-called "title formatting" syntax:
http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=Foobar2000:Titleformat_Reference

Not that mb necessarily needs to geek out to quite that level, but it'd be nice to be able to at least resize text, change fonts, change colors in the customizable panels (now playing, notification, etc.) and maybe be able to use a few of the logic functions as well.

Of course, if any of this capability exists already & I'm just missing it, please administer the appropriate clue-bat. BTW, am happy if these things can be added to the skin XML instead of "inline" in the customize panel dialogs, I don't really care about the how (within reason...).

Thanks for listening!  :D
