Questions / Playlists

I can't seem to make or delete a playlist. I have one created but the program won't let me load it. When I check, it says all 34 files by the artist are in it but there's no list and I didn't want all 34 files loaded, only a few of them from the one album.

What am I doing wrong?

I have just replaced my HDD with an SSD and have reloaded Music Bee. I have the music all loaded but now whenever there is no album art, the program most times fills it in with some karaoke album art. How do I change where the program looks for album art?

Questions / Library crashed

While moving some stuff around (not the music), all at once my Music Bee program couldn't find the library. So I deleted it and rescanned, still no go. I think what happened was the library was from the backup copy on the C Drive where it should have been hooked to the working copy on the F Drive.

I deleted the backup copy on the C Drive because I had it in several different places. So, nothing else worked, and I uninstalled MusicBee. Then tried to load MusicBee 3.3 update 5 from the website (I deleted all the other zip files from earlier versions). Now the program comes up with an error that it is unable to open the musicbee.exe file and refuses to finish installing.

What am I doing wrong?

Is there a setting in Music Bee that I am missing on setting up how it plays?   I have over 1800 tracks on my computer and Music Bee plays about 2 dozen of them over and over.

How can I set it up so it actually does a random play from all of the tracks? I have tried Auto-Dj, same result. I have set the play parameters so that it selects different artists and only allows same artist every hour or so.

I need help. I'm getting tired of hearing Midnight Cowboy and about 2 dozen others only every time I start it playing.

Questions / Missing Tracks

As I am going through my music, I am finding missing tracks in the library. The tracks are on the computer and can be located in MusicBee when you specifically look for them, but in just clicking on the library and playing from it, I notice in the Artist alphabetical listing that where there should be 10 songs from an artist, there are only 8 listed or there should be 20 but there are only 11 showing.

How do I correct this so all songs that are on the computer will be registered in the library and be available to play?

Questions / Buiding the library

I have been using MusicBee for a year or two now but only as a basic library/player. I have recently noticed that it does not build the library using all of the music files on the computer (ex: I have 13 Ames Brothers files on the computer, Music Bee has only 7 in the library). All files are MP3 and are formatted the same way - Contributing Artist, Album Artist and Track name. Sometimes I put in other info such as album names and/or year.

Why does the program not import all the files into the library? I have run rescan several times with no improvement.

Other than this issue, I find Music Bee to be the best program I have used.
