Bug Reports / Music Bee Startup Error
« on: May 22, 2018, 06:06:06 PM »
I also started having a startup error (MB 3_2_6693, Windows 10.0.16299 build 16299) in the middle of the day, though I can't really remember what may have changed in my system at that time, except I had just added new files to my music directory.

When I try starting MusicBee, I only see scrollbars, everything else is white. I have to kill it with Tasks Manager as it keeps running in the background even after I close it (right-click menu on Windows taskbar still works).

What I tried:
- Disabling Avast: still freezing
- Reinstalling 3_1_Update3 on top: still freezing
- Uninstalling then reinstalling 3_1_Update3 and 3_2_6693: works again but all my personal settings are gone
- Copying a recent backup of my settings to its original location (AppData\Roaming\MusicBee): freezing again.

I have so much personalization in my settings that I don't see myself starting it all over again.

What can we do to solve this?

Thanks in advance :)

EDIT:

The backup I used was made after MusicBee started crashing today. ErrorLog.dat's last modified date is a few days ago. The only files in AppData that seem to have changed today are:
DialogStateSettings.dat
mb_iPod&iPhoneDriver.Settings.xml
Downloads.dat
MusicBee3Settings.ini
CustomSearch.xautopf

Hi Steven,

First of all thanks for all this good work which turned MusicBee into my all-time favourite music manager!

There is just this little thing that bugs me:
- When I double-click on a playlist while tracks are playing, it replaces my current playing tracks and starts playing the new ones. Regardless of settings.

Of course I already selected the option "Now Playing / Playing tracks list / Queue Next when tracks are playing". This option works well on single tracks (if I double-click on a track, it won't mess with my current list) but not with playlists, and I can't see any way to set it.

This is very disturbing as it can lead to fatal mistakes when using MusicBee for DJing (I told you, MB is *that* good to use it for everything) - and I already did that mistake once: as my very sensitive touchpad double-clicked on a playlist in the middle of the night, BOOM! The current song stopped in the middle and all playing tracks were gone. You can picture the faces of dancers at that time!  :-[  :-X  >:(

So, please give us the option to QUEUE PLAYLISTS NEXT on double-click when tracks are playing...

Thanks a lot!
