Questions / Nintendo 64 .miniusf
« on: March 10, 2024, 03:18:57 PM »
After installing the Chiptunes/ Tracker Module Support, I realized that unofrtunately N64 games, whose file extension is .miniusf, accompanied by a larger .usflib file, is not recognized.
I read online that there are plugins for winamp and foobar that can make those files compatible, but the plugins are not recognized by MB (I have tried).
Is there any way to make this work?
Thanks!

Questions / Custom Navigation Tab
« on: March 05, 2024, 10:19:19 PM »
Hi everyone,

I feel this is a newbie question, but I couldn't find it in the forum so it here goes.
I would like to create a tab to sit next to the "Inbox", "History" and "Now Playing Tabs" to be named "Future Listening".
The purpose would be for me to mark the albums I want to listen to, which would only remain in the list until they were listened once.
Can this be achieved, or is there a better way to do this?

Thanks!

Questions / Now playing Artwork viewing
« on: February 07, 2024, 08:47:01 PM »
Three questions rolled into one (I hope that's OK), but all concerning the viewing of artwork in the Now Playing tab:

- Is there a way to configure the size of the artwork to better fill the space available in the panel? In the screenshot, you can see how much space is being wasted.
- Is it possible to configure the time that it takes to rotate between images?
- When you double click the artwork, you can see it in real-size. This is fantastic, but would be great to be able to change to the next one when desired. Is this possible?

Thank you all!

Questions / Library Explorer: 2 tabs 2 different behaviors
« on: February 04, 2024, 09:27:50 PM »
Hi everyone,

I have organized my classical music collections in two ways: tagging the composer, and tagging the performer. I am using two tabs to get to the right CDs easily.

I have two objectives:
1) On the COMPOSERS tab, when I one-click the name of a composer, all the CDs in which that composer is featured should appear, before any music starts to play. This way, I can make a selection without changing the music currently playing.
This is indeed working as desired. :)

2) On the PERFORMERS tab, I would like to have same behavior, applying of course to the performer tag.
The issue is that when I one-click a name, nothing happens. If I double click it, then it shows me the correct CDs, but without filtering all the other (so they are just sorted from the overall discography). A further problem is that needing to double-click already starts a CD, so it does not allow me to select it previously.

Is there a way to equalize these tabs' behaviors? So one-click shows 'only' the CDs that correspond to the tag, before playing?
Thank you, I hope this explanation was not a mess...

Questions / Are Roman Numerals Recognized?
« on: December 14, 2023, 01:47:05 PM »
Hi there!
I have some pretty big classical collections, with several albums within the same collection.
So for example, I have ordered the Beethoven collection into individual albums, with roman numerals indicating the volume:
- Beethoven Complete Edition, Vol. I
- Beethoven Complete Edition, Vol. II

The problem is that after IV, it goes to IX, and after XIV comes XIX and so on.
Is there a way to instruct MB to read the numerals in the correct order?
Thanks!

Questions / Recognizing custom tag from mp3tag
« on: December 11, 2023, 11:10:02 PM »
Hi everyone!

First post, so thank you for your patience! I am sure this is an easy one, but I can't seem to find the answer in the rather daunting topic of "tagging".

I tagged my classical music using Mp3tag, and created the tag "Performer", to differentiate them from the tag "Artist". For example, in one track the "Performer" might be "KARAJAN, Herbert von", and the "Artist" "Berliner Philharmoniker: Herbert von Karajan".
What I would like is for MusicBee to sort my playlist using the Performer tag (which I think MB does not have by default). I have messed around with Custom tags and virtual tags, but can't seem to able to recognize the "Performer" tab from Mp3tag in any way in MB.
Any thoughts?
Thanks for your help and patience!

Questions / Visualizer reacting to Mic Input
« on: March 19, 2017, 01:21:03 AM »
Hello guys,

I'm using MusicBee for some years now and I find it a great program, although I have never had the patience to go very deep into its capabilities.
I am a pianist and wanted to give a performance with video projection. I remembered about the MilkDrop Visualizer and wanted to ask you guys if there is any option to use MusicBee and the Visualizer reacting to the simultaneous piano playing being recorded through a microphone.

All help is appreciated!
Thanks!

Questions / Video Game Music (Unsupported Format)
« on: March 09, 2014, 10:25:49 AM »
 Hello everybody.
I am quite the retro gamer, and some days ago I came across a website where you can download video game music from the Genesis, Master System game library. The files are in .vgz, a format that emulates the sound cards of the consoles.
I searched online, but Musicbee doesn't seem capable of playing this format. I tried using the Winamp plugin (in-vgm) but Musicbee doesn't accept it as a supported input plugin. Currently I'm using Audacious to open the files, but I would rather have them integrated in my Musicbee's library.
Is there a way to solve this, and to add .vgz and .vgm support?
Thank you for help and for the amazing software!
