Visualizers / Re: Milkdrop Visualiser Support
« on: December 08, 2022, 12:09:06 AM »
(2) Where are the settings located, such as time to move to next visualization, speed, etc.?

On my USB installation:
\MusicBee\Plugins\Plugins\milk2.ini

I had to create the file manually.

My FPS settings (taken over from Winamp):

Code
[settings]
max_fps_fs=0
max_fps_dm=0
max_fps_w=0

This thing actually fixed the 30fps cap, so thanks a lot!

The bottom left should give you a status as to what, if anything, is happening.

You likely imported files to your inbox (the default) on scan.  Have you looked in that section?

The wiki (linked above under help) has extensive information on importing music files.
Nothing showed unless I was directly dragging it from that folder...

I'm actually slowly dragging all of my music in little chunks for the moment. Will try the monitoring aspect once everything is imported and I put another new album in there...

Thanks for the reply!

Yeah... this seems reasonable. Thank you!

Questions / How to know if watch folder is working / doing anything at all
« on: December 06, 2022, 10:38:00 AM »
Hi! I am new to the program itself. I was using WACUP (a still-in-progress version of Winamp) but was having troublee managing the library as it seemed to not properly import files into the library, so I'm giving MusicBee a try.

I have a HUGE digital music library. Right now it is about 5 TB of mp3s, around 500,00 tracks.

When I first launched the app it asked me where my music library was, and so I gave the library folder and it just stayed for one full day scanning and importing (supposedly).

Once the scan was over, I got into the program and it just showed nothing, so I just dragged a few folders from the library just to quizkly check how it worked and looked.

Anyway, so what I really liked about WACUP was the "watch" folder option, and I discovered that MusicBee had a similar feature and so I have selected my library folder and have turned the "continuously monitor" option.

I am aware that such a long library will take time but I have left it for littler intervals, closeed the app and restarted it to see if anything was being imported, and still I can only see the two albums I dragged at the beginning.

Am I doing something wrong?

My external hard drive is a 14tb Western Digital HDD connected via internet, so it is remote. We use it in across all computers in the house, and the HDD itself is connected to a Raspberry Pi. Needless to say, the two albums I dragged and dropped are located in this remote hard drive.

Thank you so much!
