1. Right click over the picture to see the ones available. There's two sources for these album covers: Embedded images in the currently playing file and images inside the folder in which the file is located. You might have multiple other covers inside that folder. 2. Right click on the main panel and check "Suspend Artwork Rotation" so artist pictures stop changing. 3. Same issue as 1. probably

Hello purplebee and thank you for your tips.

1) I have Suspend Artwork Rotation and still have the problem of the proper album cover coming up when a song plays.

2) When I right click and remove the wrong picture usually the proper picture shows up, which I verify through https://www.azlyrics.com/ which I have found to be the best source for album cover pictures. Should that source not have a picture of the proper cover then I rely on a Google search to find the correct one.  

3) As for the pictures in the right side, when I get the correct cover embedded into the file on the main interface they change as well.

I really wish there was a way to post pictures here but after multiple tries from multiple sources to do so all I get as a result is a little blob of a picture. 

The website service hosting this forum does not support pictures of any kind which is a real problem, because a picture is worth a thousand words of typing.

It has nothing to do with MB, but rather with the Simple Machines Forum (SMF) software the forum uses.

All true. Two other reasons I can imagine for not having such an option: - it would take up extra space on the server, which might mean some extra costs - it would probably also implicate responsibility for the images that users have uploaded and then reside on the server PS 1. It remains an annoyance that some users are either too lazy, or reluctant to put in the little effort to insert screenshots to their posts. (I guess they consider their time more important than the time of the members they are asking for help) 2. It is very nice to see how often, and how many users are making the effort to insert good screenshots to their posts.

Perhaps it is time to move the forum to a hosting service that supports posting pictures so we can show what we are talking about.

Your current forum has no pictures at all.

It is time to find a new forum that allows pictures to be posted right to the subject so we can post pics of what we are talking about making it easier for all to answer questions that are posted.


AND if cost is the factor behind not getting a new site, perhaps it is time to start charging a once a year fee to support it.

I for one would gladly pay to be able to post pics.

With pics it is easier to show what we are talking about instead of having to try and write it all out.

And please do not tell us to use hosting sites because the majority of them want a fee to post on their sites.

Hello everyone;

There are a few things that have got me wanting to post to the community for answers, because I have run out of ways to get it to work right.

Here goes:
1) On the "Now Playing" screen you have left to right the following;
           Lyrics which has below that 'The Album' of the song currently playing.
                          Now here is one of the problems I am having, even after eliminating all of the bogus album covers until the right one shows up, why does the album cover still change after being embedded into the file?

2) Background picture matches the "Artist" now playing and changes constantly.

3) Playing Tracks on the right side of the interface shows: The name of the song and who sings it, however the album cover does not always show the correct artist until the correct cover is shown on the bottom left of the screen, which changes it but it changes after you go to the next song.
Why does it do this?

Any help with detailed instructions as to how to correct this would be greatly appreciated.

Right-click the cover Uncheck "Show Album Cover" under "Panel Layout"

Hey there everyone;

Got a little problem that is starting to get annoying.

As for a screen shot the link is inserted.

On the bottom of the MB application where the controls are is a picture of the album cover on the left of the previous/play:pause/next track buttons.

Now here is the problem I do not want it there at all, and I do not remember what I did (if anything) to put it there.

Can it be gotten rid of?

Oh yeah one more thing if you are going to tell me how to remove/get it to change all the time please provide the steps in the settings like this:

Preferences > category > sub  category > boxes to check or uncheck [please indicate].

I thought I had a lot of MP3s at 14 GB, but after reading the posts here I realize my collection is miniscule compared to some.

My collection  This link to Share-X does not work. (Am not sure if I have to be a member to post)

What I was attempting to post was a snapshot of my MP3 collection which has 1660 + in it.

Boy do I have a long way to go to get the collection some of you have.

Bug Reports / Just Had An Error Occur

Howdy there;
It's 8:16 PM was listening to MB when an artist came up but not the right song so I closed MB, went to the music file and deleted the song in question.

I then reopened MB and saw that the song I deleted was gone from my library and the song previous was cued up.

If this is the wrong spot for this my apologies.

I have a screen shot of the MB player but no way to post with this article and I am not sharing my OneDrive to anyone or any other hosting site..

MusicBee Wishlist / Built In Automatic Update

Hello Developers Of Musicbee;
There has been quite a bit of activity with Musicbee in regards to updates and improvement which means that users have to come to the website to find out where the update is available, downloading and installing it, which usually means that instead of it being a few second thing on an automatic update we have to do what was already steady which depending on our internet speed could take up to 5 minutes.

So here is my wish, could you please come up with a way for the program to automatically update itself when you have them available thus allowing us to have them as they becoming available.

I for one would really appreciate it, and I am sure at least 85 % of the users would appreciate it as well.

Hello
So I have been a huge fan of Musicbee since day one.

I have a very serious question for the developers of this program.

When are you going to make it compatible to work the same way in Windows 11 as it did in all other versions of Windows.

And before you all start saying it does work, I can tell you with great certainty that IT DOES NOT WORK THE SAME WAY.

There is something about Windows 11 that causes major issues with Musicbee.

Don't believe me then do this go buy a brand new PC with only Windows 11 on it and then install your music, then download Musicbee and install it.

Then run the program.

Now tell me there is nothing wrong with a straight face, go on I dare you. 

I even had the licenced tech at the store where I bought the PC look at the problem and he was very familiar with Musicbee, he uses it on his Windows 10 PC.

He said the developers have to look at the way the program is written now that Windows 11 has changed the way it operates.

And Windows 11 does run differently.

Do the research and you eill discover that out.

Questions / How To Have Proper Artists Album Covers Stay In Program In Windows 11

Okay this may of been posted already, my apologies if it has, but I have run out of patience with this problem.

In the picture provided you can clearly see the artist pictures on the left column which are correct, however as seen in the middle of the display and on the right column it currently shows "The Hollies" in the right column. Depending on the mood of the program the artist pictures can vary depending on the last song played when the program was shut down.

I have tried many times to correct this problem by embedding the picture into the file, however after closing the program it goes back to this state.

I love this program and had great success with it on my other versions of Windows there was not this problem.

However in Windows 11 Build 22H2 this is happening and I am really getting frustrated with it to the point where I am going to delete the program from my PC.

Which would really suck because there is no other program out there that I am aware of that works like this one does.

And for those who are going to ask, yes the .NET Framework 4.8 is installed on my computer.

Not sure if the program already recognizes this or if I have to make it aware.

There are 2 pictures one is of the library, the other is of the player interface.

 

There is also a problem with some of the songs not showing the lyrics, or showing the wrong ones, I have had to use AZ lyrics to find those that don't show and have had to add them manually to the files.

I buy my MP3's from MP3 Millions so I know all the information I have mentioned are included in the file and should automatically show when the song(s) play.

Any help on these matters would be greatly appreciated.

Questions / Biography Showing Instead Of Lyrics

Since getting the latest version of MB instead of Lyrics in the left column, it now shows the artists Biography.
I have gone through all of the options available to get Lyrics to show, but mo luck on getting them to show up.
Does anyone have a fix for this problem that I have missed.

Hello fellow MB users;
I have noticed with this new version of MB that the lyrics are not showing in the lyrics area, instead it shows the singers biography.

It is getting very irritating to have to go to the song and copy the lyrics and paste them in after deleting the biography out.

Can someone explain to me how to correct this or do the developers/programmers have to do the fix themselves.

Any response would be greatly appreciated.
