OK, so I found the culprit: seems to be Bing. When I deactivate it from the settings (Tags (2) -> auto-tagging -> artwork), the requests to Bekoob.com stop. Don't know why though...

Very interesting. I too have MalwareBytes and am still not seeing any outbound traffic to bekoob.com.

I suppose you'll have to wait for Steven to offer up an opinion.

Yeah, I'll wait, no worries. It's nothing serious anyway, I was just curious as to why the program would make those requests.

Can confirm 100% that the request is only happening whenever the played file has no valid artwork.

It's an official Malwarebytes release. Same for MusicBee, downloaded from this website. Official version 3.3.7491.

To complete my previous post: MusicBee is installed on another PC (without Malwarebytes) and I'm seeing the same requests in my PiHole logs.

Requests seem to be happening whenever a music file does not have a valid artwork embedded (not 100% sure though, need to do more testing).

No need to be rude. 3.2 is the version suggested on the main page for download, seems logical to me to report bugs for that one. But OK, sorry I "wasted your time". I won't bother you again. I've been an early adopter of MusicBee, and sang its praises as often as I could on Geekzone.fr. and its forum. I'm starting to regret it.

Saw it, but there's no more update for 3.2 and 3.3 is still in beta and brings in a few new other bugs (played icon not displayed in the playing tracks window for instance). I was hoping for a quick fix for 3.2. I'll wait for a stable 3.3 release then.

I've noticed some weird behavior in the Music Explorer.

When you have multiple albums for an artist, the UI is not behaving in the same way depending on whether the contents of an album is expanded or collapsed.

Example 1 :

If I right-click on the cover of "Myth Takes" and then select "Play Now", it will only queue that album, which is what is expected.

Example 2 :

When the contents are unfolded, if I right-click on the cover of "Myth Takes" and then select "Play Now", it will queue all the albums from that artist, which is not what is expected.

Could you bring it back and give the possibility to disable it? It can be really annoying since the mini-player tends to move around easily when you click on it. :/

I used to switch to mini player while working, and snap it to the bottom left of my second monitor. Now I can't since it's not snapping at all. Did you change something in the way it behaves or is it a bug?

Don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but since the last update, the left pane with the albums is not sorted anymore when I choose "Album". Or at least not in a way that makes sense. See here.

Is there a way to fix this or roll back to the previous sorting method, which worked fine for me?
