erm did you see the screenshot i posted. if not I apologise. Posting screen shots is not that easy for some of us.
I see you are using IMGUR.  That's a good program to share screen shots.  Just make sure to select 'Direct Link' from IMGUR, then select 'Insert Image' from within MusicBee and paste that link.

It's been advised by others here that when installing MusicBee to your C: Drive, to create a custom install location. (C: MusicBee Install) or any folder you wish to create.
Just don't install it within the C: Programs Files directory.

Questions / Re: Removing Duplicates of the Same File From A Playlist?
« on: December 10, 2023, 06:02:17 AM »

That seemed to do it! Thank you very much!

I appreciate the helpful instructions and the picture was a good touch! It makes me a little nervous that there was no confirmation prompt before I allowed the program to do something so drastic, but everything seems to still be in place. Thank you again. You saved me a lot of tedious sorting!

You're very welcome.  Glad it worked out for ya. 😀

Hello, everyone! I hope this message finds you well!

This problem is difficult to search for an answer for, because most people assume I'm talking about duplicates of the same file that's located on the computer. That's not what I'm looking for. I have a large playlist where many of the songs were errorously added twice. And I wish to remove them. For some reason the "Duplicate track detected - do you want to add the track to this playlist?" confirmation prompt didn't work and some entries were added anyway. This means the Tools>Manage Duplicates (although an incredibly useful and powerful tool) will not work in this situation.

Is there a way I can remove these double entries automatically?

Load your playlist.  After it comes up, right-click anyplace in the list and select 'List' then select 'Remove Duplicates'.

Bug Reports / Re: Crossfade + 'add silence to the end of each track' bug

There should be…
There is a wishlist board for requesting features that somebody believes that MusicBee 'should have'.

No kidding, huh?
I have wished for this before.

There should be a fade in & fade out setting (not crossfade), and allow a user to set a time duration in between tracks.

Questions / Re: Do I need to update -- and if so, how?
« on: September 09, 2023, 11:37:51 PM »
Which edition are you using? Store/Portable or the Installer?
If you're using the Installer, you don't have to uninstall anything.  Just install MusicBee into the same path as the original location.
I don't use the Portable or Store version, so I have no idea about those things.

I currently have version 3.3.7261.

I'm having some problems with MB recognizing there's a CD in the external CD drive.

So, I thought maybe updating would solve the issue.

I can't figure out how to update from my current version to the latest stable release.

The info must be here somewhere, but darned if I can find it.

Would someone please point me in the right direction?

Much TIA.

This is the official version available.  (note there may have been a few patches in between)

Questions / Re: Spotify Playlist/Liked Songs into MusicBee

For anybody who comes across this post in the future:

This plugin works pretty well, it does sync playlists back and forth but not actual hearted/liked songs.

Thank you for the tip.  Much appreciated. 👍

I notice no difference between Musicbee running on Windows 10 and Windows 11

I do.  The cross fade and add silence settings do not work.

MusicBee Wishlist / Don't Allow Right-Mouse Click Authority.
« on: August 22, 2023, 09:17:22 PM »
Please don't allow the right-click of the mouse to act as left-click of the mouse.
Right-click should not make any selections.
I don't know how many times I've accidentally right-clicked on an open menu and my cursor just happens to be sitting on 'Play Now' or 'Skip'.
Can you make so the that the mouse right-click cannot make commands?

Brings me back to a wish of mine to disable the double click of the left-mouse to 'Play Now'.  I really wish that was squashed too.
Thank you Steven for this wonderful program, regardless if you consider my ideas.

Coogan.

Wow!  Way to flame a new member.  (again)

So this was not you, welcoming a new forum member by calling him a troll?:

And regarding your remark that 'other folks' will be more helpful:
Each and every member that expressed his opinion in this specific thread helps more users asking for help in an a single average month than you have helped anyone in the eight years you have been here.

So really, who are you to pass any judgement?
WTF are you lashing out for?  lol
Are you off your meds?

Regarding the OP, you don't have to ustilize all of MusicBee's features.
I can certainly see how it may seem overwhelming.  I suggest just loading up some of your music and kick the tires.
See how it works for you.  If you have any questions, well there are other folks here happy to to assist you.

Good day.

Questions / Re: Stupid Question: where is MB installed?
« on: May 07, 2023, 05:44:23 AM »
Are you perhaps running the Portable version and not the Install version?
BTW, the default location for the Install version is C:/Program Files (x86)/MusicBee
