Questions / Simply The Best Music Player for Windows
« on: June 04, 2015, 04:20:00 PM »
I just want to say that I've been using MusicBee for the last couple of years, and it is by far the best music program I have used since the early days of computer based playback. It is most definitely the iTunes killer for the Windows PC.

Keep up the great work, I look forward to all the future enhancements.

Portable Devices / MB Freezes when deleting files from Galaxy S3
« on: January 11, 2014, 04:41:47 AM »
Firstly, I would like to say that MB is so far the best syncing app that I have used for my Galaxy S3. I have all my music in AAC or ALAC and it handles both beautifully, including encoding the ALAC on the fly while transferring to the device.

However, the one annoying bug I have discovered so far is an issue when deleting files from an updated playlist. As soon as MB gets to the first file on the list, it just stalls and then ceases to continue any further. It does actually delete the file it gets stuck on, but it does not delete the rest of the files on the list. If I try to cancel the process, an error comes up after a few seconds saying the background process cannot be stopped and restarting MB is recommended. The only way I have been able to get around this so far is to manually delete the files, and then continue with an update sync from there. MB has no problems with adding new files or updating existing files from an updated playlist. It is just the deletion of files no longer in the playlist that cause issues.

The things I have tried so far are:
1) Updating MB to the latest BETA
2) Updating the Samsung USB drivers
3) Disabling Antivirus while syncing

I reckon the problem is something to do with the device not sending back an appropriate command to say the deleting of the file has completed. What I am not sure of is whether this is an Android or Galaxy S3 issue. What I can say though is that I have seen this issue occur with other syncing applications, so I don't believe the core problem is with MB. However, it would be nice if MB's error handling would allow it to continue with syncing the updates and just report at the end that it couldn't delete the files. The list of files not deleted could then be checked and the files could be removed manually.
