Does this support Musicbee's virtual tags?

Nop, it doesn't right now.

There is a shift in web and app design.
And because of this MB has to adhere to the latest fad? Like following lemmings to the sea?

As sveakul said, given the number of skins available, plus theatre mode along with the numerous options for panel payout, there are plenty of ways to make MB look different. Personally I'd rather see Steven not spend time on aesthetics. While I'm perfectly happen with MB as it is today, taking a quick look at the Wishlist section, perhaps Steven could consider adding more back-end enhancements.

EDIT: Typo

Heyo !

As a web designer, I find MusicBee's UI and UX very pleasant as they currently stand! However, it’s clear that the app feels more aligned with Windows 10 than Windows 11. The absence of modern design elements such as blur effects (e.g., a background that reflects the main colors of the cover art, as seen in the bottom panel), rounded corners, or smooth animations can indeed feel like a gap compared to other apps running on the same system. These updates would be more about visual polish or aesthetic alignment with Windows 11 rather than strictly functional improvements.

Adding such features natively (without relying on plugins) could be a relatively simple enhancement. However, these should remain optional settings (much like the feature that lets users choose between circular or square artist images).

This approach ensures that everyone can tailor the UI to their liking without feeling constrained by a specific design. It’s all about empowering users with the flexibility to create an interface that suits their individual preferences.

Plugins / Re: Rounded Artwork
« on: December 15, 2024, 02:50:19 PM »
Hi,

I would like to understand how the plugin works before installing it.

My concern is that it might replace the original embedded cover art with a cropped version directly in the file.
I would prefer that the original embedded cover art not be replaced, as I need to preserve it for archival purposes.

Thank you in advance for your clarification.

What a load of crap!

Last time I checked all of my Vinyl and CDs cases didn't have rounded edges.

I guess it's outdated to actually purchase music these days... people would rather rent it.

That's why I mentioned that I know many people like you, want to keep it as it is. My point was that having the option to enable rounded corners for those who want it could serve as a great compromise. It doesn't take away from the original design; it simply adds flexibility for those who might appreciate a more modern look.

I know some people that want to keep the original cover art as it is, but having the option to enable rounded corners for those who want it would be a great compromise.

Everyone has their preferences, and this could cater to both sides without forcing anyone to change what they love.

+1 I completely agree with this, adding rounded corners to the artwork would be a fantastic touch. It's a small change that could really freshen things up and give a more modern feel overall. Right now, the sharp edges feel a bit outdated, and rounded corners would definitely make the design more sleek and polished.
