Questions / cant add WAV files to MB

ive searched for a similar thread, but nothing came up. i had to re-install MusicBee and in turn, re-edit all of my settings and configurations. i cannot add WAV files to my library anymore. ive installed it from the Windows Store this time instead of the portable version i used before. many of the files i have are in WAV and id like to keep them that way because they are OG files from the artist's recording sessions and id rather not transcode them to FLAC.

Am I right in assuming that these playlist tracks do not play?

Before attempting to re-import your playlists, could you hover you mouse pointer over one of the '!' symbols and note down the path that MB expects the file to be located.
Compare this to the actual location of the file and let us know.

my playlists are back now, idk what fixed it lol

You do know that you can assign a drive letter to any drive you plug in, no matter which slot is used?

well yes, obviously lol. the problem is, is that when i had it plugged into the wrong slot, none of anything was in my MusicBee library. it was legit empty and i had to re-import everything.
hence, why the playlists dont link to the files

Hello!
so, i accidentally plugged in my external hard drive in the wrong slot and messed up the paths MusicBee uses for my library and it cleared everything out and i had to re-import everything. my original playlists are still there, just every track has the red ! next to it. all of teh paths within the hard drive did not change but MusicBee for some reason hasnt resolved the track paths for my playlists. i could individualy resolve each track, but i have like 100 playlists and a few of them have upwards of 120 songs in the playlists.
i looked into if i have to re-import my playlists from my MusicBee folder and all the playlist files were saved as .mbp files and i can only import .asx .m3u .m3u8 .pls .wpl and .xspf files. i remember using another desktop music library application that did have its own button to resolve missing tracks in existing playlists, could that be added/fixed in MusicBee or do i really really have to re-construct my playlists to get them back?

it worked, thanks! this time its not removing the YMD tags, its just adding the year in addition to what i manually put.

Specifically with mp3 files, FLAC don't do this, but why do the Year metadata change from full YEAR-MONTH-DAY to just YEAR and add in a DATE tag with MONTHDAY. i hate this as it ruins the tagging i prefer for YEAR-MONTH-DAY for my entire digital library.

Because your mp3 file(s) are using ID3v2.3 which specifies that year (TYER) may only contain 4 digits.
If you switch to ID3v2.4, year can be like yyyy-mm-dd.

Questions / Music Bee doesnt play .ogg files?

ive tried looking for answers elsewhere, but i havent seen anyone with this same issue.
i recently downloaded some .ogg files from a spotify downloader and the files wont play at all. they'll have full metadata and will correctly load audio in spek but MB will only leave the track on pause when i double click to play.
i do have audacity, should i just use that to convert these files to mp3 320?

there is a small bar between the Now Playing section and the track info section. click on that bar and it will switch between track info and lyrics each time you click it. or you can open the Now Playing tab that'll view the song thats currently playing






though i have a question of my own that is off topic, where did the album art go that used to display on the right column? i havent changed any panel settings

you can also click and drag the song(s) to the Playing tracks queue as its playing.

Select all of the files:
Open the tag editor for them
Enter "Ali Sethi & Nicolas Jaar" in the artist field
Click the "..." next to the Artist field to open the multiple artist splitter
Click "Split" next to "Ali Sethi & Nicolas Jaar" in the multiple artist splitter
Click Update to get back to the tag editor
Enter "Ali Sethi & Nicolas Jaar" in the Album Artist field on the tag editor
Click Save

omfg thank you for this. i didnt know i could do this! i now have this for the Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga albums and it works amazingly.

Questions / Visual tag: show "Loved" track heart as rating + show an "E" for explicit lyrics

so my questions are if i can edit the visual tags to show
-  the hearts for my "Loved" tracks in the area that the star ratings would be?
and
- show any kind of "E" or "EXPLICIT" tag to show a song has explicit lyrics?

as far as i know, MB only supports stereo and mono. ive tried playing Dolby Atmos files and only played two of the multichanels. i would assume the same would happen here.
