Hello Steven,

could you please have a look into this longstanding problem that I posted on the Question section of the forum? I copy my question here:

When I play an artist who has a name with a so called special character, his profile isn't shown on the artist profile page of MB but an error message instead, i.g. when I look for the artist 'Ketil Bjørnstad' on the artist profile it says 'Artist 'Ketil Bjørnstad' is not available on the Itunes Store' and no bio etc. is given, even no normally linked Last.fm infos. As a matter of fact that error message is wrong. The artist (and most of those with special characters causing this MB error) is indeed available on ITunes. This happens with apostrophes as well.

Is there any way to fix this in a future release?

I've searched the forum before coming up here but I haven't find a solution to my specific problem. So here it goes:

So... is this rather related to my computer setup or what can I do to fix it? It happens quite often in my collection. As the name is shown correctly on the header of MB, it can't be a matter of my keyboard setup, I think. What is causing this situation?

BTW I've installed the latest MB 3.6, this error has always been the case since I started using MB several years ago.

Thank you guys for your help.

For now it was a one time operation but I'll keep your advice in mind to maybe switch to the portable version as all files are at one location then. I guess that's the reason for this advice...

I copied all files as suggested and it worked fine!

thanks very much for taking the time and for all the details.

Actually I've got some further questions and I post a picture here for it.

No 2 is what you've explained to me. The artist picture in the explained folders.

Now:  No 1 is the artist bio which is referenced to last.fm BUT I've added quite a lot of infos by pasting them so they are stored in the same location.
No 3 the picture afaik is referenced to Spotify, isn't it? Sometimes there is none. Then I add one by pasting it into the white circle. GREAT feature btw. - These thumbs are in the InternalCache too, I suppose.

No 4 the thumbs come from last.fm when available. If you double click on the white rectagle, the artist window opens and the thumb is added when available. Going back the the previous screen finds the thumb added - must be in a cache as well since you only have to do the procedure once.



Soooo... How can I add all this to another installation without loosing all the added and edited infos and thumbs? I'd like to install this great program to my wife's computer grabbing the same music sources AND having my added stuff.

Hello all,

I'm trying to use my large AppData/Local ... InternalCache for another installation too but unfortunately the picture thumbs etc. don't load there.

Is there a way to 'force' the new installation to load the copied cache?

Questions / Playlist Question: one of each

Hello,

I've got a question to get a specific playlist. I've have my currently 30 favorite albums stored on a static playlist. Now I'd like to get an auto-playlist with - randomly chosen - one track of each of the 30 albums. But up to now I always have more than one track of an album among the 30 tracks and tracks from some of the 30 albums missing.

I've tried the mixer this way:



But I don't get one of each.

Then I've tried to config an auto-playlist this way:



Same result.

What's wrong with my configuration or isn't is possible at all?
