Beyond MusicBee / Has anyone had their album artwork encrypted by a virus?

Has anyone had their album artwork encrypted by a virus? I had a file on my C drive that had 282 jpeg files of my album artwork. A virus has now made them useless by turning them into HRM files whatever that is. I haven't seen any offer to decrypt them but there is an email address attached to each entry: Billy Joel Greatest hits 1&2.jpg[[email protected]].HRM
I don't find anything else that's been locked up by this change. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced thews? I don't intend to contact them as it would surely lead to more destruction. Any help would be appreciated. I have Malware bytes in place but didn't seem to have stopped this from happening.

Questions / Added new library column but can't edit or add to it.

This is the column I added to my library but I can't edit anything into it. What do I need to do to actually add a name into this column?
And what is the purpose of the little up/down arrow beside the name Artists: Guest?

How to upload a .jpg photo from my computer to illustrate a question I have?
Your image icon says to type in a url for your image. how would I do that from my computer's directory.
I'm not getting any answer after 28 views to my question about a new library column, so I need to put up a picture.

Questions / Added new column to library but can't enter anything in it.

I wanted to get the guest artists out of the Album Artist column cause the tracks were winding up everywhere if there was a guest artist.
I added it to the end of my right most column entry in the library, but I can't seem to enter anything there. If I try to select that columnit just lights up the whole line listing and I can't enter a name in the Guest Artist column. I see a tiny black arrow that can turn up or down, but that doesn't seem to affect anything. How can I enter a name in this new column?
I had a screen shot of what I did but now way I can insert the .jpg here. I've tried all the methods listed but never got anything but an .img link that didn't connect. How about a way to insert a jpeg file directly from your computer like most other sites offer.

Questions / How to get back the full listing of artists and tracks by album.

When I first started using Music Bee I could see the artist name the album name and a listing of all the tracks in the center of my screen. I really liked this setup. I began messing with theater view and other views and now I can't get back to the view that shows everything like I started with. How can I get back to that original setting? I've looked at everything I can try, I think, but can't get back to the "all type" setting I had when I first started using MB.

Questions / The way my music files are stored.

When I look at Music>Music Bee>Music>jack Jones, I see all my 34 or so albums, when I open each album Most all of them have separate tracks for each song, but 6 of the albums, when opened the same way, show only one .mp3 file that contains all the songs in that album on one track (not what I want). When I go back to any of those 6 albums in the Music Bee, they are listed there as separate tracks, just like I entered them and like I want them to be. How come in the "backup' or "Music" listing of Music Bee these 6 each have all their tracks in in track?
I'd like to have those 6 albums saved with separate tracks as well. How can I accomplish this. Remember, I am a newbie, so don't start giving me code to enter Ha!

Not sure I understand, go ahead and list the main artist and the duet artists? Can you explain what you mean, I'm a newbie with Music Bee.
I love it by the way, especially after a decade with the destructive nature of iTunes for Windows. Arghhh.

Questions / Keeping all tracks on a CD together in Music Bee.

I like to keep all tracks of a CD together in music Bee. This means all the cuts in one CD must have the same "
Artist" name. This is tough with say, Tony Bennett's Duet CD that has a different artist name for each of the 19 tracks because the guest artist is listed along with Tony's name. So these titles would be all over the place in Music Bee. Is there any way to cure this problem and still list the guest artists?

Questions / Cuts are only playing for :29 seconds! What gives?

I imported a broadway show and it shows up all 15 cuts with their times correctly displayed. But when I select one to play it starts playing, and the total time for the cut is displayed on the right side, but then almost immediately the time display changes from what it's supposed to be to :29 and then that's as long as the cut will play. It just stops at :29 seconds because that's what the duration time has changed to. It's almost like it was in some sort of preview mode. How can I get Music Bee to play the whole cut? All 15 cuts of the album do this very same :29 quick change.

Questions / CD of one title has many instances in lib but all have 1 or 2 cuts

CD of one title has many instances in lib but all have 1 or 2 cuts. How can I get all the cuts that belong to the one CD back associated with that one CD instead of being scattered across my library? itunes did this and that's one big reason I left it. I don't see a way to get all the cuts that belong on this CD back to just one listing of it where they belong.

Questions / How to add an album I already own from iTunes.

I ought this album on iTunes. It is Tony Bennett at Carnegie Hall and has 41 cuts. I downloaded it from iTunes and converted the m4a files to mp3. I have it in the Music Bee "music" file a proper heading and all 41 cuts are there. I can't figure out how to import it. I've tried the "scan and find new files" directed to that "Music" file but it won't add this album. I have added things just fine that were on CD but I don't have the CD for this one since I bought it on iTunes and I can't figure out how to get it into Music Bee. Can you help me? Thanks, Steve

Questions / Trying to dump iTunes but want to get all of my purchased songs

I'm trying to get my purchased songs downloaded from iTunes so I can be rid of it. I selected my playlist called "purchased" and then selected "download playlist and burn to cd" from the iTunes menu. I put a couple of DVDs in the drives and selected "Digital Download." It began chugging away and finished about an hour later. My purchased albums are on the discs but they are all m4a format and The Bee doesn't seem to like that. On one album, from the disc, I scanned for Music Bee, the Bee plays two of the 8 cuts and the rest error out. I tried to aquire the .bass .dll that seemed to be a key to this but it won't unzip without administrator priviledges and winzip doesn't provide for that. why would Music Bee only play two of the cuts. I have utilites that will convert all of the m4a files but that will take a long time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
