Yes, on further inspection, it was that selecting by  "track" vs "album" issue.

It's weird, I made a new playlist with the exact same criteria (using "all"), and it worked! But the old one still is wrong, even after refreshing it. So I guess I'll just delete that wrong one and start using the new one.

Thanks!

Thanks, but nope, "all" doesn't work either. Those unwanted tracks still appear in the auto-playlist, even after a manual refresh.

Questions / Auto-Playlist Question
« on: May 24, 2021, 04:38:11 PM »
I have an auto-playlist which I sync to my phone, called "Albums in Rotation."  Here are the criteria.

Match any of the following rules:

- Grouping is Album
- Playlist is not "Out of Rotation"

Basically, I have all my full albums labeled with the grouping "Album", and then if there are albums or tracks on them I don't want to sync, I put them in the "Out of Rotation" playlist.

But the second criterion (Playlist is not "Out of Rotation") isn't working in my auto-playlist. Those tracks are still appearing in it. What am I doing wrong?

Sure. How should I send the link? Do you have a way I could directly send it to you? Or should I upload it in Google Drive and post a link to the file?

Yes, there's artwork in the editor and in the library.

Something flipped in MusicBee, and now my compact player doesn't show album artwork. Here's a screenshot:

How can I get the artwork back?

Bug Reports / Re: Storage folder setting
« on: June 27, 2019, 05:09:08 PM »
Note: I got this error after Android system update renamed my SD card. (I think) I solved it by going to Edit > Preferences, finding the device and renaming the disk. It didn't work when doing it from the Devices part of the file tree. There, MusicBee wouldn't save the new name.

Portable Devices / Re: Some album art won't transfer to Walkman

frankz, you got it! The issue was that the album art for these albums had too high resolutions. The Walkman wouldn't accept them. I found 600 x 600 versions and now they look fine. Thanks!

Portable Devices / Some album art won't transfer to Walkman
« on: April 25, 2018, 02:31:25 PM »
I'm using Music Bee to manage the files on my Walkman NW A-35, and for the most part everything works great. One issue, however, is that a handful of albums won't transfer their art to the device, say 3% of them. For these, the Walkman just displays the gray no-album-art music note. I can't figure out what's wrong with these tracks.

- The issue happens whether the art is embedded or in a folder
- The issue happens whether these files are on the Walkman's storage or on the SD card
- The issue happens for every track on these albums
- All the mp3 files are legally obtained, some ripped from my CD collection, others paid downloads

Any ideas?

Questions / Search by Artwork
« on: October 26, 2017, 02:39:39 PM »
When I imported my library from iTunes into MusicBee, a lot of the artwork came in at low resolution files and looks blurry. Some of the artwork is fine, however.

I've been little by little going through my library and downloading better images for the low-rez artwork.

Is there any way to do a search for files with say, artwork that's 200 px by 200 px or under, so I can easily identify the low-rez artwork? I can't find such an option in custom search.

Questions / Re: Artwork Imported From iTunes Lost Resolution
« on: September 05, 2017, 08:37:10 PM »
I think I see what happened. It seems iTunes has two versions of artwork, a thumbnail and a full-sized version. Both were imported into MB, but MB chose the thumbnail version by default. The full version is second in the artwork tab under "Edit." If I manually go into each album "Edit" and choose the second one as the primary artwork, the resolution looks better.

If you know of a way to automate this process, that would be helpful. Thanks.
