Questions / I have another issue
« on: July 18, 2017, 10:21:26 PM »
I'm not sure what is going on but my tracks aren't sorting themselves by album... And all the tags are correct

Here's what I mean.

Currently you have library explorer in the left main panel and if you meant you want to have thumbnail browser there, then replace it with that.
Also add column browser to the main panel with horizontal layout. If you right click on its column header> Set Displayed Fields, you can adjust displayed fields.

Ok got the Columns to show. Now I just need the left main panel to stop expanding into sub categories when I click on said artist.

Nevermind, I figured it all out. I appreciate it!

Yeah it didn't really help me. to be honest. :(

here's my current config.

Questions / Need Help getting my player back to the way it was....
« on: July 18, 2017, 04:37:26 AM »
So I had to recently get my harddrive replaced and had to download musicbee again, I had my layout set a specific way and I can't figure it out for the life of me on how to get it to the way it was...

If someone could guide me that would be awesome. So basically this is what I want.

Right now the main left panel is an expand list of the artist/years/albums. I don't want that. I want it just to be the artist.

And the Genre/Year/Publisher in a list in 3 separate panels. Above the Main Panel.

Just found an image from an old post on here that I posted. This is the layout I'm talking about.

Any help would be greatly appreciated it. is driving me absolutely nuts!

Questions / Re: Proper Library Tags aren't being recognized

So I removed the APE tags but it didn't fix the problem, so I just redownloaded the 3 albums that were causing problems with only ID3 tags and it fixed the issue.

I would check if the files are in read only mode, if they are MusicBee might not have access to modify them. It might also be worth examining the extended meta data tags with a tag inspector tool (personally I use mp3tag) to make sure there isn't a second set of tags that could be interfering with how they are displayed.

Done that way before, I even noticed it was happening. And I named all mp3's myself already. So it shouldn't be an issue.

Ok So When i looked in mp3tag and I think I figured out why. The 3 albums that are duplicating all have APEv2 tags set to them. How do I remove that? If I even can, cause right now it looks like it's overriding the ID3 TAGS and for some reason duplicating

Ok. Which is odd because winamp didn't do this. All songs for Black Sabbath were tagged correctly.

So is there any way to fix this? Because even when I try to edit them it still stays there. And even then when I go to edit, then save it changes nothing.

Also the meta data is correct. I would know because I have a program that let me put in a songs info and embed an album cover into the file.

The OCD in me says this is driving me nuts

Questions / Proper Library Tags aren't being recognized
« on: February 22, 2016, 04:16:28 PM »
I have a weird issue and maybe someone else has seen this before. But when I load up my Library for Black Sabbath specifically For Some reason it like duplicates, but with incorrect tags. For example:

4

Do you see how the file name is Into the Void but the title of the song shows After Forever?

It's doing this for just Black Sabbath as far as I can see. And when you go to Edit the proper tags appear, but when you play the song they don't show correctly.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
