it might also be your audio drivers needing to be updated

This could be a clue. The crashes only happen when the MB is using a USB output for sound to the mixer desk. Next job, drivers!

I don't run any extra anti-virus apart from Windows 11.
Did you whitelist MB?

I usually don't like to change too many things at once, as you will never know what cured the problem, but I have Whitelisted C:\Program Files (x86)\MusicBee

Version 3.6.9202, installed from download. I have no history of this problem on previous systems. Recently installed on a new Dell Inspiron 15 3520 running Windows 11 Pro. This is a brand new Laptop for this purpose and doesn't run much else except Chrome.

I'm going to go through and re-install all the drivers.

I don't run any extra anti-virus apart from Windows 11.

Thanks, I'll let you know but may take a while as the problem seems to only happen when I'm in the studio playing the playlist.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Questions / Find bulk music in library based on playlist
« on: September 23, 2021, 03:24:14 AM »
Hi,
I have a few playlists with a large number of play items based on music based on SDCards, not in my library. All the music is legally in my library. Rather than have multiple copies of music files across several folders, is there a way that I can create a (new?) playlist with those same music items in separate folders but pointing to the same music from my existing library?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Questions / Lastplayed tag in Musicbee
« on: February 03, 2020, 07:26:57 AM »
Hi,
I use the LastPlayed property to select music for my radio show so that I don't play some music too often. However, I also need to preview music to ensure that there is no swearing as we have a very strict rule about that. I'd like to either play a track without updating the LastPlayed property, or to reset the LastPlayed property? I'd know that I can another music player, but I'd like to just use Musicbee as my software of choice. Can you help?
Vince.
