Questions / have to install Windows 10 Media Control overlay plugin ?

i know silly question
recently i have updated windows 10 pro 64 bit august update , the last , few days ago , no avast or other antivirus installed ,only windows defender

i don't know maybe was windows defender (that did delete some files ) or some new feature , i  don't know , but musicbee did start to have some issue like hangs and crash ,the windows media control overlay stopped to work ,and very often i had to use process hacker to terminate

I had to disable windows defender , and after a reboot musicbee  work better , the Windows 10 Media Control overlay disapeard

so I have removed everything and i have re-installed and create a portable version of MusicBee 3.4.7805 from scratch    

i keept the settings but i wanted to have a clean install and a clean portable version

I have only 2 questions ?

1)
windows media control overlay , doesn't work  , should i download the plugin and install manually ?
because i was sure ,it was included in the musicbee installer

2) is there a way to perform a very clean install (never had such issue with w10 , under w7 64bit work great everything ) ?

Questions / Question about audio setting and wasapi playback quality noob question?

Hi
I use musicbee in wasapi shared mode , realtek high definition
but I have noticed my realtek setup is on 24bit 48000 sample rate

may I ask 2 questions ?
1)
should i set to 24 and 44.100 sample rate ,seeing I play only 44.100 audio  ?

2)does the playback (when i play my audio) sound worse  with my internal audio card setup at 24 and 48000  ?

Questions / why does windows lower the volume when I open another application?

Hi

I play all my music with musicbee ,wasapi shared mode

I have searched in the forum ,and in the microsoft forum ,tring to find a fix

for example now I have musicbee playing music , if i open vlc and video ,windows start to lower musicbee volume , as soon as I close vlc , the musicbee volume increase perfectly

now I can't use exclusive mode , because I have to work and use headphones and I get lots of emails , and I have setup my email client to notify me with a custom audio clip
I mean , I need wasapi shared mode for now

is there a fix?

Questions / Is there a way to remove from the database audio file of a partition ?

hi
I use file-> scan folder for new files

accidentally I have added an hard disk partion E: (with junk audio mostly audio recoreded with my phone or vocal message) in the dialog scan folder for new files

is there a way to remove from the musicbee database all the audio present in the partition E: ?

the problem is that i have 1 ssd , where c: is windows  , d: music e video and e: there are not important files
and E: has lots but lots of folder and subfolders

i have tried to select the partition ,to use the delete key but I have only 1 choice , delete the file from the hard disk

i have searched in the forum , i have found some informations ,but not where does musicbee does store  edit-> volume adjustment values

1)
can I know where does musicbee  store edit-> volume adjustment values? because i can't find such information in the tags with mp3tag ,tagscan and musicbee ?

i'm not sure , but with this feature my song sound loud without clipping

2)
is there a way to find all the songs with  edit-> volume adjustment values changed ?
autoplaylist has no option

i use the last version ,under w7 and w10

MusicBee Wishlist / preamp songs according volume analysis/replay gain please & please db silence

musicbee is the best audio player for windows 7 to 10


could be added a preamp feature according to volume analysis/replay gain  , for example preamp x db (+7.5db ) only for songs with volume analysis/replay gain tags ?

maybe an option to limit the preamp to clip , for example I would preamp about +20db all my songs with  volume analysis/replay gain tags , but if +20db is too much and does clip , musicbee could reduce it to avoid clipping

and about remove silence , could be added the possibility to add threshold db ?

musicbee is high advanced audio player with lots of incredible features , about my opinion lacks of some advanced features , these preamp according volume analysis/replay gain and a threshold db remove silence

i'm asking because i have ripped some vinyl records and there is some noise at the end and begining of the songs , or other tracks ripped from cd they have some audio at the end of tracks , i have used audacity

and preamp because i have some cds or albums that sound not loud , preamp only the the volume analysis/replay gain tagged would be amazing

Questions / how can i preserve timestamp replaygain /lyrcis and cover art ?

hi

may i know if I can preserve timestamp of my audio files downloading covers(album arts) lyrics and replaygain ?

I have used for example volume analysis (it should be replaygain i guess ) for some tracks , and it changed my timestamp

I have many smart playlist to organize my library

I have these settings , I can not find the volume analysis (should be the same of foobar replaygain ,but foobar2000 change always the timestamp , there is no option to preserve it

MusicBee Wishlist / don't download covers and lyrics for streaming radio

Hi

I like often listen internet radio , like radioparadise o soma radio and others

I use  MusicBee 3.3.7367 on windows 10 and 7

could be added an option to avoid to download covers and lyrics when i listen streaming radios/podcast  and other internet sreaming source?

just because have lots of covers from artist and other stuff that i don't like or i don't have on my computer

would be really a great feature

Questions / question about mb v 3.3.7115 and .NET Framework 4.8

i have updatede mb to 3.3.7115 but at work it doesn't work because it needs .NET 4.6.1 and at home on a old laptop windows 7 sp1 it doesn't work because it misses .NET 4.6.1


is a good idea upgrade to the last version .NET Framework 4.8 ?

is .NET Framework 4.8 buggy ?

i'm thinking to upgrade to .NET Framework 4.8 because maybe other programs could need it or better update to .NET Framework 4.7.2 ?

i will update only for mb

i'm running 3.2.6827 but i have update to MusicBee_Setup_3_3_7077 , i guess it's the last version
don't know if there is a beta

but i would like to add Artist ,down album , down song and file format

i know i can do it ,but i can find the topic about editing the preferences , and in the option there is nothing

may i know if can i do with MusicBee_Setup_3_3_7077 ? i use the portable version and i have downlaoded it from from here

is the right file for the portable version?

if there is a beta that let to use windows 10 notification too , i would like to know how edit the preferences

there is a screenshot ,because english is not my native language

Questions / can i set the volume of an album at max without clipping?

i'm listening an album , i have ripped few seconds ago in mp3 320kb join stereo 44.1

well it's an talking heads 's album

i setup the volume of the album at max like the screenshot

does musibee detect or is there a way to avoid  clipping ?

i have searched here in the help webpage

i have read about volume gain and so on , but it's most related to replaygain

Ps I guess i have found a small bug , increase the volume or restore it , it does cause the deleting of the tag LYRICS

Questions / musicbee single flac+cue and lyrics in *.lrc ,can i see synch lyrics?

hi
i have ripped all my Elliott Smith 's albums , 1 single file flac for albums + cue

and i have downloaded for each track a synch *.lrc file

for example figure 8 album
in che cue there is TITLE "Son of Sam"

and the lyric file is Elliott Smith - Son of Sam.lrc
i have tried to rename it to Son of Sam.lrc and rename in txt too
all the synched lyrics are in the same folder of the entire flac
but nothing , i can't have sync lyrics

what's wrong?
can you advises me a solution?

1)
under windows 10 , 7  i use these settings
why can not i set up 24bit  ? i guess musicbee work with 32float


2)
may i know what engine does the last musicbee version use to resample ? sox or ssrc?

3)
on the same computer i have installed audirvana plus 3.16 , sierra osx , just for a test porpuse
it seems i can sound better , at leat for my ears  , the sound seems more deep
may i know why? are the windows drivers?
but wasapi event should bypass the drivers right?

can i store on my music tag playcount with this tag PLAY_COUNT ?

but i have found an easy answer

1) i have songs with PLAY_COUNT set to 10 because in the past i have used foobar2000 , would like that musicbee increase this number

2)in the page i have found

MusicBee defaults to save play count of each track to MB database file only. But you can save play count to your music files as well and keep them auto-updated. You first need install Additional Tagging Tools plugin and enable it.

how can i keep them auto-update ?
i have followed step by step
