Pretty easy, I would think.

I should use the "infer and overwrite tags from filename" option, right?

For a few albums there is track# in filename at the beginning (01 Gong - Oily) but not in the tag.
So it should be easy to use the first 2 characters in filename and assign it to track# tag. Right?

How? :'(

Thanks

Hi,

Welcome to the forums, and yes it is pretty straightforward to do you are asking: http://musicbee.wikia.com/wiki/Auto-Tagging#Infer_and_Update_Tags_From_Filename

Well, after reading the wiki, it really isn't that straightforward.

Here's the easypeasy version.

Highlight the song in musicbee > right click the highlighted song(s) > Auto Tag by Track > Infer and Update Tags From Filename

From your example above "01 Gong - Oily", it should be "<Track#> <Artist> - <Title>" or "<Track#> <Title>"

If you are stuck after reading the instructions above, please post here again.
