Flac to 320kbps mp3

i want to convert some flac albums to mp3 but i want the bitrate to be as high as possible. i have done some tests with music be and the the bitrate after conversion is 199 so i am looking for something higher than that.

can anyone reccommend a free program for this does has anyone any advice on this.

if you are using lame, just use the Archiving encoding profile in MB (see the File Converter preferences) which defaults to 320CBR
