It was never my intention that this skin become part of my repertoire.  It was only to be a base on which psychoadept (a.k.a. scampbll at that time) would create his Mellon Remixed skin.
But it is on the wiki as one of my skins, so I've decided I will maintain it.  However, I'm going to change it so it's my MB version of the original MM Mellon skins.

Snazzy!  Nice work!

It's really close already.  The only major thing I would change is to not have the pattern in the caption bars; I'm just not a fan of the image in background in general.  There are some other things I can think of to tweak, but I'm nodding off right now.  I'll look at it tomorrow and see what I come up with.

Been a bit busier than planned, sorry!  I thought of fiddling with the XML myself, but haven't had time to make sense of it yet.

Mostly I would say fewer gradients, except maybe the library explorer header and background for Track Details tabs, and make the left panel all one color (no backgrounds on the major nodes).  Oh, and make the sidebar/compact player purple, along with MusicBee button and windows buttons in corner.

Removed some gradients and blended the remaining ones more fully with background colour
No gradients in LH panel - fonts change colour for selection

Great!  I'm especially happy with the compact player, and I like what you did with the spectrum visualization.  I think it's in great shape.  Now I have a skin that I can use for all my installations!

 I figure anything else I decide to tweak, I'll see if I can figure out on my own, and if I can't I'll consult you.  It'll be good practice for me, and probably easier than trying to describe.     Does that work for you?

I'll do a tidy up and make sure I haven't missed anything, then post a screen shot and proper link for our "collaborative" effort

As far as I know I just changed some colors, but maybe wordpad messed it up or something?  I'm not getting any error messages, but when I try to use it MB goes to "Windows Theme" instead.

Wow, that's awesome!  I have less clue how to do bitmap skins than I do normal skins, but if no one else gets there first, I might look into it...

Please compile your bitmap player with the latest version of the skin and post a link. It looks great.
(or PM me the link and I'll put it in the post with the standard skin)

Re-download the original and keep a back-up to restore to when changing things around.
Recommend Notepad++ rather than using wordpad.  Only a small download and it's features make it easier to edit .xml.
