Hello,

I wonder if there is a way to control the real drive spin from MusicBee?
Today I tried to rip a track, that I usually succeed to rip accurately at 4x (drive spin, not the read speed). To do this I have to play with DriveSpeed (start CD test with limited drive spin, then stop the test and rip the track with EAC) or leaving my laptop on batteries (unfortunately this lower the drive spin only twice, which is not always enough.
However, with MB I cannot rip this track, no matter what rip speed limit is set in CD Ripping preferences. Actually, the ripping phase always works at 9x~10x (although I set rip speed to 1, 4 or 8), which I'd like to avoid.
So, it seems, MB does not really change the drive spin.
Do you think that this is possible to be implemented?

Its actually a BASS function i'm using for the spin control so i will need to report it.
Could you confirm your machine OS (XP?) and that you are an administrator

Yes, XP SP3.
Lenovo R61
Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-860
I've tried as administrator and with granted rights to local users.
No matter if I choose 1x or 4x, rip speed is shown as 6x-7x (for internal tracks) upto 10x (for outer tracks).
However, maybe the problem is with the drive, it might not support speeds below 8x?
