Is there any chance of getting ProjectM http://projectm.sourceforge.net/ running on MusicBee?? I don't have the skills, but basically it is an opensource implementation of the awesome MilkDrop visualizer.  The current milkdrop plugin appears to be crashware when it comes to music be.

happy to build whatever additional API methods are required to support this but it will need to be someone else that builds the plugin

Have been thinking about doing this, but have been waiting for a Windows update from ProjectM for ages. Windows development is stalled at 0.94 Beta while iOS, Android, Unix and Mac are @ 2.0 or better releases. Am not holding my breath on this one.

Well that stinks. I only really had experience with the linux versions i use on my HTPCs. Its too bad that it looks like they abandoned windows...

I made projectM for MusicBee: https://getmusicbee.com/addons/visualizer/360/projectm/

Hi Raul,

thank You for uploading the ProjectM visualizer plugin.
Unfortunately I'm unable to make it work - immediate crash of MB is the result. No matter if run in embedded or full-screen mode.
Could you please provide any support to make it run?
Did you have any suggestions what I just should check?

So far I've tried to replace the BASS_SFX.dll with version 2.4.2.1 from here: http://www.un4seen.com/forum/?topic=9488 ,
but that didn't changed anything from the above described behavior.

Thank You in advance.
Greetings

Hi KangNi, just a shot in the dark but try BASS_SFX.dll version 2.4.2.3, "BASS_SFX for mixer source channels and WASAPI with fallback to normal," from the post here: https://www.un4seen.com/forum/?topic=9488.msg100423#msg100423

Thanks Sveakul,

I've tried both versions of BASS_SFX.dll v2.4.2.3, via WASAPI and DirectSound - no success.
MB just instantly crashes when the visualizer become started.

Maybe anyone else can test the plugin and report if it is working, and if so, what is the environment:
- MB version
- version of bass-plugins (BASS_SFX.dll)
- Audio output (Direct Sound/ WASAPI Exclusive/ WASAPI Shared, ASIO)
- Windows Version
- graphic driver version

Greetings.
