Sync says 6d 1.56

Hi, I have a sansa fuze. I connected it up to sync at 10.50am this morning, at 6.10pm it was still going. Admittedly I have just installed musicbee and transferred all my music into the  library but the majority of my music was already on the player, only about 6 cds that I never got around to putting on my computer. I have 2,929 files according to musicbee but even if it was syncing everything it shouldn't take over 5 hours should it? My music was imported into the library in a matter of seconds.

I stopped it about 30 mins ago and restarted after checking that mtp was highlighted in the player settings, reinstalled player driver, and formatted the player but sync is still displaying 6d 1.56. Please help.
