Update MB from the GUI

Since MB does not have an internal update function, it would be quite useful if, there was an option within the "help" menu that would direct to the download page and/or to the post of the latest beta, so that users can stay updated.

Or Steven, is it practical to implement an internal update cheking facility within the interface of MB?

Edit>preferences>check for updates on startup

Thanks ma_t, but it would be better if, updates where checked through user interaction, rather than during every startup, which is more intrusive.

its done in a background process and wont affect startup times in any way
