Hi!

It would be better if multiple external video players can be specified in "Player/video player" pref.
Because some video format requires special players - eg. Japanese TV's MPEG2 HD TS files cannot be played fully with "popular" players, such as vlc.

So, I suggest that adding one more opthion, such as "use Windows' player settings", which invokes players through Windows associated with the file type.

Regards,
butty

Have you tried PotPlayer? It's the most advanced video player out there currently in my opinion

Thanks ma_t14!
PotPlayer is great. It seems to be able to play Japanese TV's MPEG2 HD TS files.
I'll check it using more videos later.

Just configure PotPlayer to be used as an external player. It's under Edit>Preferences>Player> Under video player choose "use external player:"

if you are using vista/7 and the 32bit version of potplayer it should be here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Daum\PotPlayer\PotPlayerMini.exe

First you need to have the video plugin installed and enabled, its found here: http://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=5817.0

Then enable it in preferences/plugins if not already enabled.

When you double click a video file in MusicBee Potplayer will open instead of the in-built video player
