When adding files, there is no "copy" option.
Also "monitored" folders don't have the option to copy new files to library.
(This one is the only thing that really bothers me, the rest are tollerable)

album art loses save option when
autosave playing artwork  is on

No user friendly way to change the font color.?
(so that you can choose a skin and then a more prefered font color for the main browser)

In "artwork and track" view, there is no way to put multiple credentials on same line

(plus you can see how hard it is to see the album rating)

No album duration/length

all albums look like they have 5-star rating, actual album rating is hard to see
(unrated album, Auto album rating turned on, no tracks have ratings)

When opening a playlist, and return to Music Library, you lose your position.

I moved the topic to the wishlist subforum since the points you are making are suggestions and not actual bugs

I also updated the title to better reflect the content but please free to update it with a more appropriate one if you wish

What do you mean by "copy new files to library"? If you go to Preferences> Library>"Automatically sweep and organize new files" is that the option you are looking for? If not can you please explain what you mean?

That might be an actual bug

+1

I think somebody suggested that in the past but thank you for bringing it up again

In "artwork and track" view, there is no way to put multiple credentials on same line
http://i.imgur.com/aMZBQ.png
(plus you can see how hard it is to see the album rating)

It's possible. Right click on panel > Configure layout > Custom panel settings. Under display fields tab you may add mutliple fields on one line like this: i.e.

<Album> <Year> <Genre>

How hard it is to see the album rating depends on the skin you are using. If you find this particular skin inefficient report it to the skin creator. You can also edit the skin yourself. More info about that in the skinning subforum.

No album duration/length

You can add this again by going through the panel settings. Click the button shown in the screenshot below > Panel Layout >Custom Panel settings

all albums look like they have 5-star rating, actual album rating is hard to see
(unrated album, Auto album rating turned on, no tracks have ratings)

Again depends on selected skin

When opening a playlist, and return to Music Library, you lose your position.

You should be using the "Back" arrow button

You can add this again by going through the panel settings. Click the button shown in the screenshot below > Panel Layout >Custom Panel settings

You can also access the panel settings by clicking the button just next to the search field > Customize Panel Settings. Use the field <Album Duration> rather than <Time> and it will work.

I am talking about a "Copy" option, not a "automatically MOVE" option.
iTunes has an option as shitty as iTunes is:

Ultimately I just want to have the option to be able to drag my audio files into Musicbee and the files be copied into my organized folder, and the original files untouched, staying in their original folder.

I can do exactly what you are talking about in the "Playing Track" area,
but not in the "Album and Track" layout section.

On a different account:
I was wondering, how hard would it be for the "Bitrate" tab
to show "v0" as opposed to ex:

I have another possible but challenging request.
This is going off of the copy feature a bit, but I would like there to be a "Copy new files" from the monitored folders.
There would have to be a history of files already added so that files that have already been added wont keep getting re-added.

Thank you for your time.

A tip, if you're going to post multiple wishes in one post, please number them so it's easier to refer to and discuss each one of them.

In "artwork and track" view, there is no way to put multiple credentials on same line

You can achieve this by showing a virtual tag which itself combines the tags you want. Create one in Edit > Preferences > Tags (1) > Define New Tags...., for example: "<Artist> - <Album>" if you want artist and album to show on the same line. Then reference your virtual tag by its name in the "album & tracks" panel settings.

When adding files, there is no "copy" option.

I think the closest thing to this is to enable "auto-organize music library files" in Preferences > Library. Click the "Organization"-button next to the setting and also enable "copy source files into the library". Now every time you add tracks to your library they will be copied and organized according to your settings, however it won't work if tracks are on different drives and remember that tracks in your Inbox goes unaffected.

This has been discussed before (please try a search before you post), for example here: http://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=6073.0

Also forgot to mention how nice it would be if Musicbee worked with windows "window integration."
I am talking about grabbing the title bar and the window shrinking to the last size you had it, dragging to the side of the screen and the window auto resizing to half of the screen, the top of the screen to maximize, etc.

Fully possible since some time back: http://getmusicbee.com/forum/index.php?topic=6215.msg35755#msg35755 However, the window won't shrink to last known size when "grabbing and dragging" the bar of a maximized window, but if you double-click it, then it'll work.

What version are you using? The latest, 2.0.4646, can be downloaded here (assuming you already have version 2 installed): http://musicbee.niblseed.com/V2/MusicBee_Exe_Patched.zip Just replace the files in your MusicBee folder (in the programs folder) with those in the zip-file.

1. In "artwork and track" view, there is no way to put multiple credentials on same line

1. I can live with this. Why the different interface in that part though? Seems a little strange.

2. When adding files, there is no "copy" option.

2. This does work. Not very user friendly and will continue to confuse other people.

3. I missed this one, +1 for me though.

There would have to be a history of files already added so that files that have already been added won't keep getting re-added.
And an option to ignore .m3u files found because some albums come with a .m3u of their album.

Can you please explain and expand on this? How exactly would this be useful?

I believe this is the option you are looking for:

I am talking about the "Monitored" folders for both copying and playlist exclusion.

no playlist option here:

http://torrentfreak.com/legal-torrents-games-music-and-software/
When you download music  from one of these legal sites via p2p (torrents), the files need to maintain their integrity in order to give back(seed). When Musicbee imports music, it changes the ID3 tags sometimes while adding to library. The tags aren't always perfect/to ones liking and you cannot re-tag unless you have a separate copy of the audio file. I prefer the Cover.jpg to be embedded into the .mp3, and the artwork auto-fetched and saved when the track is played. So again, needing a separate copy.

It is essentially the same reason anyone else would want a "copy" feature, just added to the monitored folders. Automation has always been an attempt to better the future. Automation, but with control.

i would consider it a serious bug if MB was writing to a music file all by itself when adding it to the library and you have none of the auto-tag/save options enabled in Tags(2), and not using the auto-calc album rating in the Advanced Tagging Tools plugin.
So could you confirm this is the case (perhaps screenshots of your Tags(1) and Tags(2) preferences, and a before/after file)

I dont think it is a bug, I do have some settings that change the tags. I can upload the screenshots later anyway.
I have lost so much data and wasted time over the years because tags werent saved in the mp3 file. I have lost all my ratings, gine out if my way to get album covers, tried to get all the lyrics once, etc. I have 11000+ songs so lots of work lost.

Well I noticed the Google Music sync discussion and that is one reason I have all of my tags/covers saving into the mp3 file.
Also, I'd like to request an autosave cover feature for selected songs. It is already set up to auto retrieve missing artwork, but they have to be saved one at a time.
I have already saved all my covers manually so no hurry for me.
