I suggest taking a look at AUSLOGICS's defragmenter.

I also use MP3GAIN for uniform MP3 volumes though MBee has the volume controls inside it. This is useful when having the songs in another device that doesn't have MBee.

I suggest mp3gain too. Be careful when normalizing albums, use album gain insted of track gain. I normalize to 92 db and if it clicks i low it a bit. Every 8 db means the double of volume.

For calculating BPM i use http://www.mixmeister.com/download_freestuff.html

For renaming every file, included mp3s, i use http://www.1-4a.com/rename/

For something more technical for renaming and tagging i like Tag & Rename but its a bit expensive. http://www.softpointer.com/tr.htm

For automatic downloading lyrics and seeing then a very very nice app is MiniLyrics at http://www.crintsoft.com/index.htm
I suggest to customize it downloading the lyrics in the folder where the song is, and saving the lyric with the same name than the music file.

Autohotkey, free and very good for creating macros. I posted some weeks some macros to rate songs using less clicks

After multiple updates to MBee in the tagging field, I use only MBee when it comes to lyrics download and tagging of music files :)

For file renaming, I use "Joe". It can manipulate the filename like you want (But it's only in german).  ;)
 http://toolsandmore.de/Central/Produkte/Software/Datei-Tools/Joe/

For syncing my favorite is "FreeFileSync".
 http://freefilesync.sourceforge.net/
For file searching I'll take "Ultrafilesearch".
http://www.ultrafilesearch.com/
Fast and easy to use
update: now ist Free & Shareware

Another free searchtool is "Everything"  - good and fast
Searches only file and folder names on NTFS Drives

I'm sorry but I fail to understand how this thread is relevant to MusicBee. I am not saying that its not interesting but how is it relevant? Especially towards the end it seems to be getting a little out of control?!

I agree to an extent.  maybe if people list the applications they have configured as external app's within MB.  For example I am currently trying to send artist information to a file by calling CMD and passing something along the lines of "/C <artist> > myfile.txt" while this isn't working at the moment, I would be interested which app's other people send their files too.
