Important consideration to make :
Will you want to overwrite the artist tag if there's already an existing value?

Install the AT&RT plugin.
Create a virtual tag of formula $Split(<title>," - ",1)
Use the plugin's Copy tag command to copy <virtual_1> to <artist>
The source code to any of my contributions is available on the same download link as the add-ons

yes. there are 2 opposite presets, which assume that artist(s) are mentioned after track title. i'll create new ASR preset for the situations like yours.

ok. no problem. i'll create one more preset.

this is one of two mentioned existing presets:

Extract artists from track title and add them to the "Artist" tag - "Title (<Custom text 1> <Artist1> <Custom text 2> <Artist2>)" format

here are updated ASR presets containing the new preset, which extracts artist from title if artist is written before the track title:

https://www.mediafire.com/file/esgu05pfhpylz8s/ASR+Presets_2024-04-27.zip/file

extract all preset to the folder "<MB folder\Plugins\ASR Presets>", open ASR, and click either "Install All" or "Install New".

you selected the wrong preset. see its name and description. the preset you selected is named: TITLE (ARTIST). you need the preset for that selected track: ARTIST - TITLE

EDIT:

i see from your screenshot that you haven't installed the new preset (see download link to updated presets above). the required preset is missing in preset list.

sorry as i often say “I understand quickly, but I need a long explanation”
so i managed to use the preset and i modified it to keep the title as it

i'm not familiar with regex expressions but it's seem to be a really powerful tool
thanks for your help  :-X
