When I open the Scan folders dialog, and from there open the Choose Folders dialog, MB is showing me network paths and COMPUTERNAMES that are no longer in use and that no longer exist. In I see no way to remove them. They are not checked in as being selected for scanning, they're just there.

I would think that MB is only showing me the available sources that Windows presents to MB. But these paths are not available when I go to Networks in Explorer. Everything there is as expected.

Looking for insight.

The same thing, with slightly different zombie paths, happens on another device running a portable clone of the above install.

All else is working as expected. I'm trying to declutter the dialogs, and not confuse myself any more than necessary.

Thanks!

Exit MB, reboot your PC, and start MB. Are the phantom paths/computer names still present?

If so, please provide a screenshot of the scan dialog you're using showing which are phantoms.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Belated thanks for your reply, phred.

Yes, the phantom/ghost/zombie paths still show up in MB after a over a month of reboots, etc. They only show up in MB. Windows no longer sees them. Here's a screen shot of the Choose folders dialog via Scan Folders for New Files.

The path DAWGIRL/Record Collection was also still showing up in MB's left side panel under Computer, but I was able to remove it via the right click options. But there's no obvious way of removing it from the Choose folders dialog.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Only one and it's not going to be helpful. MB caches a number of items, such as lyrics, artist pictures, etc. It's quite possible the phantoms are cached. But I have no idea in which cache it might be.

I'm hoping someone reading this may have a suggestion.

Sorry I couldn't help.

You could check the MusicBee3Settings.ini file in the AppData folder for those pathnames and remove them to see if that helps.
