I am using ASIO for the enhanced sound, but with the equaliser preamp (within MusicBee) set to -15db and the volume at 2% it is still a little too loud.

Apart from resampling all my flac's at say -5db, can you suggest any other alternatives?

Thanks

I don't see the relationship with ASIO. When implemented properly it allows the media player to talk straight to the audio device bypassing the Win audio stack.
Anything configured "wrong" in your ASIO setup?
What happens if you use WASAPI/Exclusive instead of ASIO?

Thank you for your reply.

When I use WASPI the volume is normal and can be fully controlled. With HQPlayer which I also have I can fully control the volume
when using ASIO so I'm fairly sure it's not driver-related - the same is true is my Jriver Media player. Only Music Bee has this 'problem'.
