Yes. Like torrent trackers.

Was about to write the same thing. Any advantages of using a torrent tracker?

Eh, and Bittorrent isn't "associated with pirated software"?
If you can host a dedicated tracker and a reliable seed, you might as well just run a webserver instead and put the files on there, anyways.
Also, having to download MusicBee via Bittorrent would deter lots of users from trying out MB in the first place. Not everyone knows how to use Bittorrent, and a sizeable fraction of users are notoriously lazy.

Using of torrent trackers may be useful for distributing very large soft (~1GB and more). Don't see any sense to implement this for MB which is really lightweight.
