Hello everybody.

When I rip a CD I fill in the GENRE field which offers me all the values with all the variations due to typing errors.
How can I clean up this mess?.

Thank you in advance and good day.

Hello there,

I am guessing that the incorrectly spelt genre tags exist in at least one of the files from your library. So to sniff those out:
On your Thumbnail Browser, filter your library using the <Genre> field, and then scroll the list one by one to look for and correct the misspelt genre tags.

After correcting them, rescan your library as well - tools > advanced > rescan all files.
Hope that works.
I already spend hours on end on social media. Might as well spare a few of those to a greater purpose here.

Or do a custom search where the genre contains the misspelled genre. That will show all the files that have the misspelled genre. Correct it and repeat for the other misspellings.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.
