MBP to M3U

Hello,
my old computer is down (but not the hard drives) so I will change my computer and also OS (bye bye MusicBee   ).

So, my question is : is there a way to convert mbp files to m3u without going through the software ?

Short answer: No.

MBP is a proprietary format that MB uses for its playlists. It's extremely unlikely that there is any convertor available online.

I may be wrong, but MB would probably explode if you tried that. Neither the paths nor the files would exist on someone else's PC.

A friend come home with a Windows computer and try with a new fresh Musc Bee install.
FYI : I put a mbp file in the playlists folder, it appears in MusicBee with an exclamation mark on each track but you can export it on m3u format without error

If you hover over the ! you'll see that it probably says "path not found" or "file not found." Because they don't. And yes it will export, but those playlists will now be pointing to a path that does not exist. So when you put them on your new PC (I'm assuming Linux) it won't be able to find the files because the path does not exist.

Yes, that's right!

First of all, I want m3u files because they're readable with a text editor and know wich tracks are on each playlist.
And secondly (because m3u is just text file), I can make a batch that replace a path by an other on all files.
