I'm not very technical, so please be kind. I've been using MusicBee for all my music, radio and audiobooks for a few years now. I love it. I also love Boom Radio, but because we have a huge assortment of animals to care for, I'm not around when my favourite DJs are playing. My workaround since Boom started has been to start my PC in the morning/afternoon and get Jobee to record while we are cleaning litter trays/mucking out. I then save the file in a Boom folder and import. Once I've listened, I delete the files.

Everything has been fine until yesterday, when Jobee stopped working. Error message saying it can't open the file. At the same time, I can't listen to Boom live in MusicBee either. "Boom Radio is not responding and may not be a valid link". I have about 11 other radio stations saved and they still work. I contacted Boom via FaceBook and they have been very helpful. They downloaded MusicBee and added the streaming url I gave them and it works for them. That's good to hear on the one hand, but it makes things even more confusing at my end.

I don't know what else to try. Can anyone help please?

I don't know anything about "Jobee", etc., but both of the links below (MP3 and AAC) for Boom Radio are working just fine here in MusicBee 3.5.8318:

https://listen-boomradio.sharp-stream.com/65_boom_radio_live_128

https://listen-boomradio.sharp-stream.com/65_boom_radio_live_192

If neither are working for you, supply some more information like the version of MusicBee you are using, what operating system you are running, how you are trying to add the streams, etc.

I'm using an older version of MusicBee, but am reluctant to update because I struggled to set it up in the beginning. I worry that I will lose all my customised panels and settings. Jobee can't be updated, so I would have to find another way to record. I've fixed it for the moment by removing the "s" from https, but I'm guessing this may happen again. If getting the latest version of MusicBee really is the best way forward, I could do with some instructions please. I'm using Windows 10 and MusicBee is 3.0.6335. I add my streams manually. Right click in the empty area and select New Station. I try and keep a bookmark of a web site with streaming urls listed, but the sites keep disappearing. I don't know why they make them so hard to find...

backup mb program folder, <mb appdata> folder, and .mbl (library) file. then upgrade mb to 3.4 (from site download page), then to 3.5 (from 1st board on the forum). all settings must be kept during upgrade, but as versions are very different (3.0 and 3.5), maybe you will lose some settings. in that case, you could either try to adjust new mb version or rollback mb and its settings from backup.

Thank you. It sounds like something NOT to be done after dinner on a Friday evening! I'll take a look over the weekend :)

FYI - I made all the backups and upgraded as you suggested. From what you said, I was expecting some problems, but it's all worked perfectly. My Boom radio link is still messing about. I put the "s" back in https and it worked at first. Ten minutes later and it "may not be a valid link". I've removed the "s" again and will hope for the best. Many thanks for your help :)
