By setting the display as artists and grouping by artist.
If the artist is multiple, multiple tracks are displayed, one for each multiple artist.
In reality the song is only one but with several artists.
There can be the three images above one for each artist of the song but not the song.
The first time I encountered this I deleted the two extra songs which I thought were duplicated. It actually deleted the main song, effectively deleting it from the library.
I attach image to clarify more.

This 'bug' you are reporting has never been a reported (and proved to be a factual) bug before, by anyone.
So it's extremely unlikely that what you are experiencing is a bug, and the first impulse should not be to create a 'bug' report on something like this.

As far as I know it is pretty much technically impossible for MusicBee to display one physical track more than once in the main panel.
If you do a forum search on this you should probably be able to find out what is really happening here, and resolve it yourself.

this does sound plausible as a bug because of the grouping by artist and i will look into it when i have time

Hm, I'm glad I used wordings as 'unlikely', 'probably' and 'pretty much'.
I really can't recall MusicBee ever having displayed a single physical track multiple times, and was convinced that technically just couldn't happen.
But as they say: "there is a first for everything"…

you havent sent the entire contents of the settings file
also i will need any custom tab layouts you use - these are located in the sub-folder AppData\Saved Settings\Layouts (help/ support/ open appdata folder)

Sorry, I didn't know exactly what to send and I saved what was displayed in the help menu.
I did not send you what you asked for but I risk sending you other things that have nothing to do with it. I don't understand English and I use google translate but I don't know how accurate it is. For me who must understand and for you who must understand me. :(
However I did a clean install of musicbee on another computer where it was never installed and the error remains without changing anything, I just reloaded my entire library from a backup disk.
I did:
1) chose a piece that had two secutors

2) set the display by artists and grouped by artist

3) configured the panel with the display of the tracks on the right

4) this is the result. The song is one but it is duplicated.

If you select an artist it displays the single song, if you click so that there is no artist selection then it adds the duplicate or more if the performers of the song if there are more than two.

this should fix the issue:
https://getmusicbee.com/patches/MusicBee35_Patched.zip
unzip and replace the existing musicbee application files

Thank You!!!!
Thanks Steve !!! You're a myth.
Proof that it now works well.

While we're at it. Couldn't you put the tracks next to the cover not below? It would improve the visualization.
As it stands now it is not very clear and with that space left by the cover it is also a waste of space.
I ask here, I know I should have put my request on the wish list but probably few use this type of visualization or that's okay.
If it's not too complicated ...

Thanks again.
