A new bg element for 'Now Playing'

I've got a vague recollection this was discussed before, and that some changes made regarding auto-colouring seemed a fine solution.

But I am now finding that in some skins the background colour for the Now Playing panel is not working very well.

E.g. here:


I would really like to change the greyish background blob into some reddish colour, better fitting the skin at hand.

P.S.
I notice that in this specific screenshot, the artist image in the center could be a little bigger, making better use of the available space?
But maybe this depends on specific panel settings, retrieved image size/proportions, etc. Not sure, I haven't tested this well yet.
