Every time I restart MusicBee, I have to check to see if Auto DJ is on.  I always have it in that mode.  But it is commonly off after a restart.

Store versions do not get patches or updates. You'll have to wait until the next full release which could take some time. You're other options are to use the Installer or Portable versions and get frequent patches and updates.
Download the latest MusicBee v3.5 or 3.6 patch from here.
Unzip into your MusicBee directory and overwrite existing files.

Latest installer seems to be MusicBeeSetup_3_4_Update2.zip.  Now as to why he puts an EXE by itself in a zip when the zip might end up being larger than the EXE...

File is too big to post directly in here.  No attachments in this forum and PasteBin thinks the content has objectionable content.  So I put it on my OneDrive folder.  This link is valid only until the issue is either resolved or the thread becomes forgotten.  https://1drv.ms/u/s!An39hJGl5zAVgoN8utF6-wXkIghwIQ?e=kR3TWG

you either sent the wrong file (it should be MusicBee3Settings.ini not MusicBeeSettings.ini) or you are using a very old version of MB
The file can be obtained by using Help/ Support/ View Settings

Also it would be good if you were able to do that after you have started MB when the auto-dj wasnt enabled when it should have been

I cant reproduce any issues. The only suggestion I have is the autoplaylist: Normal is being exhausted - perhaps its not intentional that you have a custom filter to only include artists that start with 'a'

Normal should never run out of videos.  It's an smart-playlist that excludes Christmas music.  I don't see the custom filter you describe.

have a look at the auto-dj settings panel - you have a custom filter enabled
